The Grayl's Hotel is a funky hotel built in the 1920's and located in downtown St. Petersburg. The location couldn't be better. It's close to restaurants and right across the street from the park. Our room was light-filled and spacious. There was a small kitchenette area plus a dressing room with a makeup table! We didn't mind the artificial flowers or the old decor. We loved the comfortable reading chair and the ample light from lamps. I liked the fact that 2 of the 3 windows actually opened and that the third one contained a window air-conditioning unit. So, controlling the climate to suit us was easy. Our room overlooked the restaurant next door and we were "treated" to their soundtrack in the evening. Some might find this annoying, but we thought it was charming. We could have turned on the fan of the air conditioner to drown out the music if it had bothered us. We would definitely stay here again.
