This was an interesting restaurant. The tables looked like nicely finished picnic tables, and the restaurant had a family restaurant type atmosphere, with excellent but casual service. It was a rather chilly night, so it was a treat to eat inside beside a real wood fireplace and warm up. The serving sizes were HUGE. We decided to share a bowl of their clam chowder to start. After finishing the bowl of chowder, I was already full - but my husband and I had both ordered their dinner sized smoked salmon – so there was plenty more food to come. It came with a tasty hot, German potato salad (no mayonnaise), a lovely coleslaw, a large dill pickle and bread. There must have been two pounds or more of salmon on each plate, and enough potato salad for three people. The salmon was delicious, but I couldn’t even make a dent in my plate of food. My husband is a big eater – but he didn’t make a dent in his food either. We took the food home – and it lasted for two more delicious meals. For the serving sizes, the prices are very reasonable – but my suggestion would be to order one meal and pay the $2.00 they charge for an extra person, and share the meal – there is plenty for both.

If you are looking for some fancy, elegant restaurant this is not the place to go. It is rustic. If you sit inside to eat, you sit on wooden benches. But, if you like smoked fish you can not afford to miss Ted Peters. There is no comparison when it comes to quality smoked fish. My favorite is the mahi mahi, but it is all great. And your meal comes with amazing German potato salad. And you can't leave without trying the smoked fish spread.

Waitress was very friendly, food was excellent, especially the fish spread--awesome. Prices were very reasonable. They have both indoor & outdoor seating. Outdoor is noisier because of the traffic--but still very enjoyable with 70+ degree temps in January. For an Iowa girl--that is outstanding!

We get smoked salmon to go and eat it at our hotel with a glass of wine while watching the sun set. The flavor is as good as the fresh smoked salmon we have eaten in Seattle. The price is very fair and it just smells so good when you drive by. If you like seafood, you have to visit here.

If you are on St. Pete Beach, it is only a VERY short drive up Pasadena from Gulf Blvd. Worth the trip.
