My husband and I always plan a trip south to escape the cold Ohio Winter in January or February and we bring our dog.
The Postcard Inn is pet friendly and is a great location. The rooms have a great beach feel. There is a great tiki bar on site that had live music. Watching the sunset from there was great.
You are also within walking distance to so much.
We actually checked out after a few days to head to the west coast of Florida for some warmer weather but did not like it so we headed back to the Postcard Inn for the last few days of our trip. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I took a couples only trip to St. Pete Beach, without our kids. We had such a great time, we loved the atmosphere and the many places to relax on site. We usually stay in Marriott's and this is not for sure, but the little details (like the old toilet) didn't bother us much once we had a chance to get out of the room and enjoy the rest of the grounds. Loved the music that was always playing and the live music at the beach bar was awesome!! The staff was super friendly, except for a couple of the security guards had an attitude, not with us but the younger crowd. Even thought he is not a Marriott the beds and pillows are comfy and the atmosphere was excellent!

Great location directly on the beach, love the pool, had a pool room this time. Preferred it because it had better a/c (window) and there was less noise. Came with a friend and our dogs. We could walk to restaurants. We'll be back but will avoid Sprind Break and other student holidays - my first trip was marred by inconsiderate guests. But, I always like to give a second chance in case the bad experience was just a fluke. So just pick your dates carefully.

Room Tip: Get a pool room - although closer to the bar - there's less noise because there are no hallways...

Dear gigilov,

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent visit to our hotel. I'm glad to know that you had a great time while with us but I wanted to apologize for the other inconsiderate guests you encountered during your visit. We have additional security on staff during this time of year in order to minimize the impact those guests can have on others. I'm sorry it wasn't able to make your experience better but I am glad you have decided to provide us another opportunity.

Thank you again and we look forward to your next trip with us!

A sweet little unexpected gem describes this very hip resort.
For just over a hundred bucks a night the Postcard offers a clean functional room set in a neat retro setting. The garden view room we stayed at was great. Close proximity to the large heated pool and bar which backs onto the St.Petes beautiful beach.
The restaurant at the Inn is affordable and serves top notch interesting foods.
I cant comment enough on the décor which is a feast for the eyes at every turn.
Friendly staff and well thought out services and amenities.
One drawback was the lack of an in-room fridge.

Room Tip: For a few bucks more spring for the "garden view room".

We got to Saint Petes after 4,3 hours driving and tunderstorm without reservation. We look arround for a plece to stay and enter several hotel (very luxurys and expensive), but after looking orround we entered this very 50 looking hotel completly renovated with a surf spirt!. Very good rate, the room spacius, with a very good bed and linen. I really recomend this place if you want to relax. Love it!

Recently spent 2nights at the postcard Inn. Our room was freezing...thermostats do not function.
bathroom Door would not shut. Paper thin walls. Impossible to get a good sleep. Went to walgreen's to buy earplugs...exactly what you want to do on the beach. We were billed for restaraunts charges although we never went. Clerk Did check and had the charges removed. I have travelled in many third world countries and had much better experiences at 1/3 the cost.
I actually compare this to camping.Anyway if you like to tough it this place could be just the ticket.i

Dear irish779,

Thank you for the feedback regarding your recent visit to our hotel. I'm sorry to see that you did not enjoy your stay while with us. We continually make an effort to improve our product and our service here at Postcard Inn. While most of our rooms have been renovated, we are still in the process of updating the remainder rooms. Some of the items we are addressing include sound-proofing, new doors and locks and new tile flooring. This should address most of the concerns you mentioned in your posting. I am also glad to hear that the front desk agent was able to assist you in removing the charges that did not belong to you.

Thank you again for your feedback as we cannot improve without it.

Sincerely,

Jeremy Flanery
