“Spring Break 2014”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Our flight was a late arrival and even though I informed front desk, standard rooms were filled by the time we got in. No problem. We were upgraded for free to a suite on the ground floor facing the slide on the beach by the family pool. We wanted family friendly resort and this being spring break, it was packed with kiddos. Many clever activities, belly flop contest, pirate show etc. Staff could not have been nicer. Housekeeper, Sequoia, brought my son ice cream. I earned a free Shark bite for helping out a sand castle building team. We didn't eat on site, but found two restaurants nearby which we would recommend. Only complaint was the weather...it rained, but hey it's Florida. When I want perfect beach days I now know to go to San Diego.

Room Tip: Pay for a beach facing room.

What a great place to bring the kids! The hammocks, nightly bon fire and roasting smore's, heated pools and waterslide, crafts, ping pong, entertainment, tons of hammocks to chill out in....

I was blown away by the customer service. My step daughter stepped in sand spurs and was crying and Kevin at one of the restaurant bars on site invited us in, called security to help, and gave her a virgin pina colada on the house...I felt like that line in Annie..."I think I'm gonna like it here" : )

Really great! The kids loved it and can't wait to go back.

We were thrilled to spend a few days at the beach and for our large family we were pleased to be offered a two room, two bath suite. The price seemed hefty, $550/day with taxes, but it was on the beach. We were disappointed to find the facilities and rooms clean but shabby, Nd the design of the suite required walking through one of the bedrooms every time someone came in. The kitchen was poorly equipped, without even salt or pepper. The restaurants offered mostly fast food and very heavy fare. The pools were nice as was the fitness center. My review would have been a lot more positive if we hadn't been charged so exorbitantly in the off season. If the hotel rate had been half of what it was, I would have thought this was an excellent hotel but the price set us up for something else.

We stayed at the Guy Harvey's section of the hotel. The hotel is located right on the beach. Fabulous location. The unit itself was just OK and somewhat dated. The unit had two "double beds". Tight for all. It had a small kitchenette with fridge and range top. No deck or outdoor seating at the unit. The beach was great. This is an adult section of the beach with three bars within walking distance. Sunsets were magical. Parking is free. There is a daily fee of $35 to take advantage of the activities. The professionalism of the staff was very mixed. The front desk was curt and unfriendly. When we left the person behind the count just said, "you're set." No good bye, or thank you. The restaurant staff at the Bermuda Restaurant and the Guy Grille was professional and friendly.

Nice motel with plenty to do -if weather allows. We had bad timing. Everything was closed down for the cold front. The room was basic and a little small. The restaurants at the resort are way overpriced.. However, drinks outside at the cabana where about the same as any bar, and were very good. They do not let you use their carts if you want to take your own luggage up to rooms.. We did not like this. They will take them up for you.. If you tell them that you do not need service, they forget to tell you that you can not use their carts until you get to the actual building you are staying in and start looking for them to use.

Room Tip: We had room with no view (actually 2 of them put together- (1 for our teenage son)- they were small...

Massage was wonderful! It was obvious she knew what she was doing and made me feel extremely comfortable. Definitely find time to
book an appointment! The room was clean and very relaxing as well- soft lights, soft music, heated bed.. Ahh!!

i have been here several times for a conference, not a vacation, but the vibe of the place is very vacation like. They seem to care a lot about customer service and the house cleaning staff do a great job. The proximity to the beach is great and the pools, etc. are lovely. My only reservation is that the beds are quite uncomfortable - they need upgrading as does the bedding (it feels very artificial). Its a great family place but also has bars throughout, including a cute little karaoke bar in the middle of the property.

Room Tip: Spend the extra and get a room with a beach view.
