Description: The Flying Bridge is quintessential Florida dining. From its origins as an authentic cracker cottage - the simple architectural style of the state's first settlers - to the fresh grouper sandwiches of its kitchen, the restaurant serves up an experience that you can't find outside of the Sunshine State. In warm weather, the restaurant's open-air feel gives you fresh gulf breezes and spectacular views of the beach with our meandering waterway running right beneath you. The all-day menu features a wide range of appetizers, salads, burgers, chicken and fresh seafood sandwiches. In the evenings, The Flying Bridge's extensive menu expands to include even more items, including fresh salmon, grouper, shrimp and other heavier dinner selections that you can enjoy while you watch the sun set over the horizon.

“Vacation 2012”

good honest reasonably priced food and great staff make this a must place to eat. Even if you just need a few drinks to unwind this is the place to go and chill out by the beach

“Decent food, but at resort prices”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2012

Overall, we enjoyed the lunches we had at the FB.

The food is decent, but cost us $60-$75 for EACH of our two stops...family of four (kids ages 6, 8). Example: Tortilla soup was tasty, but served in a relatively small paper bowl for almost ten bucks. Ridiculous.

Tip...get the souvenir cups if you are staying more than a day. The refill deals make the prices almost tolerable.

See our Tradewinds Island Grand Resort review for more info on the overall property.

“Limited Dinner Menu”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2012

Convenient if staying at the TradeWinds Island Grand Resort but the food is average at best. After being there I realize that it is more of a bar than dinner location but I don't know if I would go for a bite to eat at lunch after my experience at dinner. My wife and I had different dinners but both said that the best part of our dinner was the baked potato. Fun atmosphere where you can see a pool out one window and the beach out another.

“Good food, great service”

Nice atmosphere and view. Good food and great service. Server was very friendly and attentive. I had the cheeseburger and my husband had the grilled grouper sandwich. Both were very good.

“Excellent service, nice food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2012

Excellent service whether in for food or drink. Felt the food was slightly over priced but quality was good for a "bar at the beach".
