We've just returned from our fourth annual visit to the Sabal Palms Inn in Passe-a-Grille, and made plans for visiting again next year. As usual, we really enjoyed our stay at Sabal Palms - relaxing and having meals on the veranda by our room, reading on the lounge chairs beside the pool when it was too hot for the beach (there's lovely shade there from the surrounding trees (palm trees and sea grapes).
The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable, and cleaned daily with fresh towels supplied. Housekeeping supplies are readily available if you need anything extra. The rooms also include fully equipped kitchens - if you want to cook (if not, they're are a number of restaurants no more than three or four avenues away). The exterior of the building is also well-maintained including the pool area; even the gravel lane out back is raked, while the leaves are carefully removed from the public sidewalk....! There are bikes available to borrow, kayaks for rent, free parking, and low beach chairs to bring to the beach - which is just across the road.
All the staff are friendly, helpful and hard working - we particularly appreciate the warm welcome and attention given by Yudit and Eddie who on arrival greet us like old friends. They both go the extra mile to help everyone, offer advice on the area, and take time to chat and joke with guests. We're looking forward to returning to Passe-a-Grille and the Sabal Palms next year!
