“Fort De Soto Condo”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2014

On our first trip to Florida as a family, we wanted to stay on the beach in Pass-A-Grille. We inquired with Sabal Palms but as it was fully booked, Eddie advised us of his condo in the "condo village" of Tierra Verde. We decided to give it a try. It is a completely different experience than staying at a hotel on the beach, but we soon realized that it suited our young family of five very well. The condo was on the 2nd floor, with unreserved parking around the unit. The condo featured a queen bed in the one bedroom, and a sofa bed in the living room. The kitchen was fully equipped and the living room had a nice size TV. The bathroom was spacious with plenty of towels. Everything was extremely clean and in good condition. We were happy to come back to the condo for our dinners, which we were able to cook with produce from the local supermarket Publix. The condo also featured a great recreational area, with a sandy playground for the kids, a gated heated pool and hot tub, and a deck area with a barbeque overlooking the water. We were able to make use of all of these areas and were torn between spending time at the condo versus going to the beaches! We checked in at Sabal Palms and were shown great hospitality by their staff. We were really happy with our experience. The only thing we can think of suggesting to make this experience even better is if the laundry code would be provided to us during check-in time.

Room Tip: There are tolls for going on the bridge.

I read reviews before booking the Havana Inn and we were not disappointed. Ediglio and Eddie were great! Ediglio (without asking him) took time to show us a quick lay out of the property and we were pleasantly surprised with what the Inn has to offer. This is for a quiet laid back vacation! Our unit was perfect for two of us with a spectacular view of the gulf and right across the street from the beach. We travel every year and have tried many places, but this is the only one we will definitely come back to. It's close to many restaurants and a great Deli down the road. Pass-a-grille has a quiet laid back feel. We will never go back to the strip area up the road!

Another great visit to the coconut inn. Eddie and Ediglio and rest of staff are always friendly and helpful. Great beach and food nearby and the flexibility of your own kitchen too. The new beautiful park like area out back is an oasis within an oasis.

If you want to enjoy the laid back easy vibe of the Pass A Grille district of Saint Pete's Beach, there is no better place than the perfectly located Coconut Inn. The rooms have kitchenettes which saves some money and makes mornings nice and easy. They are clean and pleasant. Friendly staff. Good value too.

Room Tip: We liked our room 4 which had a nice large shared deck and a view of the beach.

If you are looking to get out of the 24 story high rise hotels and away from the commercial tourist trap districts and not be anywhere near a CVS drugstore - this is your place. It was for me.
The town its self is another review, but the Coconut Inn is a perfet fit for Pass-a-grille and for my vacation.
The pool was wonderful, the staff very nice, room was clean with a little kitchen (and even smaller bathroom) and... quiet. Ahh.
Walk to the beach or grille or rstaurants can be done holding your breath, everything is close, and there was plenty of free parking onsite.
The only negative commentI could make is the finish on the tub was peeling off and I was told that when I rented the room -they were waiting for a refinisher to come in and fix it. The bathroom is tiny, but how much time do I spend in the bathroom?
I enjoyed my balcony overlooking the pool with a view of the beach.
I wish I could have stayed longer. I WILL stay here again.

Room Tip: The rooms on the second floor overlooking the pool were in a nice spot, I think I had room 6.

I look forward to September in the Northeast because our leaves put on an epic display BUT as soon as the show is over it's off to see Eddy and Miguel at "The Coconut Inn" in Pass a Grille!!!
The bikes are lined up for a morning spin after watching the sun rise and sipping a good cup of java on the patio right outside the bedroom doors! The white sand beach is steps away from the Inn and The Paradise Grill across the street offers beer, lunch, snacks and live entertainment on the weekends. The location can't be beat since it's within an easy stroll to "The Hurricane" and "The Brass Monkey" restaurants where the Bloody Mary's and Grouper sandwiches are nothing short of euphoric....especially on one of those sunny, picture perfect beach days that are unmistakably a piece of heaven right there in Pass a Grille, USA!!!!

We recently had the pleasure of being guests at the Coconut Inn on St. Pete Beach. This small boutique hotel (12 rooms) has small studio rooms, as well as one and two bedroom options. We stayed in a studio apartment overlooking the heated pool (very refreshing in the evening). The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and fresh, and it is right across the street from the beach. We rode the complementary vintage bikes one day, and carried a folding beach chair to the beach everyday. We couldn't ask for more; and the price was very reasonable. We will return next year.
