We have just returned from a 17 day stay at the Pasa Tiempo. We have always used the Florida Superior Small Lodgings kite mark as our basis for selecting B&B in Florida and have stayed in a number,. None have been a disappointment but the Pasa Tiempo stands out as providing a service beyond what we expected. After reading Tripadviser reviews we expected a lot and were not disappointed. This is the best B&B we have stayed at in Florida and in our opinion deserves to be regarded as a high quality small hotel rather than a B&B
We arrived late evening after reception had closed but had been given clear instructions on how to use the security gates ( a plus factor in themselves). The property is on a quiet residential street fronting Boca Ciega Bay. We had the Executive Waterfront Suite with balcony overlooking the bay. The suite consisted of a living room with TV and DVD player (there’s also a TV in the bedroom) A very comfortable 6ft sofa and lounge chair and foot rest and a small dining table and chairs. There is a small kitchen with large fridge freezer, family size oven, microwave, toaster coffee maker etc. All the usual glasses, cooking utensils and crockery. All immaculately clean and looking almost new. Probably because previous occupants like us go on holiday to enjoy the local food and not cooking in!
The bedroom had a king size bed which was v. comfortable with stunning views over the bay and the sunrise. Waking up to that each morning was worth alone the cost of the holiday -it gave you a feel good start to the day. Overall we felt as if this was a "home" and not a hotel room.
There is maid service every day with the room remade and bed linen was changed regularly. Fresh towels were supplied each day and pool and beach towels were available FOC. All bathroom utilities were provided - soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion -we didn’t have to buy a thing.
There are no laundry facilities on site though iron and board are provided. We were recommended to a local Laundromat where we could leave our clothes for washing and drying and their service was great.
Pasa Tiempo is on the Bay waterfront - which is one of the main reasons we chose it - and the deck and dock area were perfect for taking the very good continental breakfast. We hadn't expected anything lavish and were surprised by the large selection of fresh fruit, cereals, pastries, cooked ham, stuffed boiled eggs, coffee tea fruit juice and sparkling wine to make a Bucks Fizz! All included and saved us from ever having to buy or make breakfast. I've paid a lot of money in hotels for a continental breakfast that was less that half as good as this. Tea and coffee is also available throughout the day and tea time nibbles are provided with liquers.
The pool is small but sufficient and is the one area of "complaint" in that the water was too warm for our taste - it was like a hot tub - but speaking with other guests, who in the main were even more mature than us, I was alone in thinking this.
The hotel "courtyard" is small but covered with luxurious tropical plants and water fountains everywhere. This tropical forest means a lot of shade so depending on your need to sunbathe is either a boon or a hindrance - take your choice.
The staff were delightful and particular thank to Lotta in reception who gave very good advice on local eateries and was always available with her colleagues throughout the day for help if needed.
There are numerous restaurants varying in style and quality and some are within walking distance. Our favourite was the Black Palm in Passe Grille.
Overall this B&B is the best we have stayed at, the adult only rule suits us down to the ground and we would have no hesitation in staying there again or recommending this.

I really don't have enough nice things to say about Pasa Tiempo. It's exactly what it purports to be. Quiet, unassuming with very helpful and pleasant staff. They made reservations for us and did a couple of other really helpful things. The place is absolutely beautiful and you can't help but relax.

My wife and I stayed a week in the waterfront room with the whirlpool and it has a great private little patio area. It's a very romantic setting, but it's also just a great place for some peace and quiet and to be left alone.

  • Liked — The privacy and quiet
  • Disliked — Limited number of hours sun on the pool because of all the vegetation

Pasa Tiempo is a tranquil, relaxing, romantic bed and breakfast. My husband and I were looking for a quiet place (no kids & away from the hustle and bustle of the beach) to relax. Pasa was a perfect fit for us. As soon as we walked through the front gate and heard the fountains, you immediately begin to relax. We were greeted with a glass of champagne and a tour of the hotel. We stayed in the jaccuzzi waterfront room. The room is very comfortable although the air conditioner could be a bit noisy, but did not interfere with our sleep. We had a king sized bed (very comfortable - I slept great), decent sized refrigerator (wished we had a microwave) and a small but efficient bathroom (with hair dryer, iron & board, coffee pot, shampoo, conditioner, lotion). The room has two chairs and a table facing the french doors to the private courtyard. We really enjoyed the private courtyard - including the jaccuzzi, lounge chairs and breakfast table and chairs - separated from the B&B by foliage and an iron gate. We enjoyed sitting outside and watching birds, dolphins and boats go by. We also stayed in the Honeymoon suite one night while the air conditioner was being repaired (leaking). It was so nice to have Ivone, the owner, call us beforehand to let us know of the problem and upgraded us immediately. The honeymoon suite is absolutely gorgeous - every detail has been taken care of. It has an elegant king sized bed, fireplace, two sitting chairs, desk w/chair, kitchen with everything - including a microwave, & generous sized bathroom with all the amenities. The room also has a porch room with a jaccuzzi, breakfast table/chairs, & loveseat sitting area. Very comfortable and elegant space - perfect for honeymooners or if you are celebrating an anniversary. The pool is the perfect size, overlooking the bay. There are lounge chairs, floats, beach towels, and sunscreen. The social room is located adjacent to the office. The breakfast was very good - more substantial than an American continental breakfast. There were deviled eggs, sliced ham, fruit, cereal, muffins, raisin toast, bagels, fresh squeezed OJ, coffee, tea. We did go out for breakfast a few days because my husband loves omelettes. It was nice to take your breakfast on trays to the dock are where there are tables and chairs overlooking the bay. During the day, there was always ice tea and ice water available. There is also a computer so you can still check Tripadvisor if you are addicted! In the evening liquors and cookies/coffee cake was set out. Very nice touch. The staff is wonderful. They go out of your way to make sure your stay is all it should be, but leave you alone to relax and enjoy the tranquility of the gardens, pool, and numerous fountains. Latta is a great source of information regarding restaurants and local happenings. She was wonderful and went above and beyond the call of duty. Doris, the housekeeper works so hard I got tired just watching her! She keeps everything spotless and comfortable. Ivone, the owner also goes out of her way to be sure you are enjoying your stay. She has thought of everything - the attention to detail at Pasa is second to none! We walked to many restaurants in the area. Our favorites were Fetishes (great for our anniversary & oh, the crab cakes!), Blue Parrot, Woody's, Dockside Daves (the best grouper!) and Cafe Luna. Philthy Phils was also within walking distance, but the food was just OK. We also walked to breakfast at the Frog Pond & drove to the Friendly Fisherman at John's Pass. Driving to dinner, we went to Leatherbacks & Sea Critters - both had excellent fish. Pasa Tiempo is a place we would definitely return to in the future! Email me if you have any questions.

We spent a week at Pasa Tiempo at the end of May. We were in the Waterfront Executive Suite which was absolutely enormous. It was more like a one bedroom apartment than a hotel room with a small kitchen, dining area and living room.

Best of all, we had a private deck overlooking the bay. Every morning we would eat our breakfast out there, and several times we saw dolphins swimming and jumping very close by! The deck was also a wonderful place to relax during the hottest part of the day because the breeze coming from the bay was very cooling and the deck was nicely shaded.

We loved the pool - what a great location right next to the bay! We also enjoyed the fact it was heated and we could come out and enjoy it after dark, floating around and looking at the stars as well as the beautiful lights strung around the gardens.

The owner was very accomodating, making us up a breakfast tray for the mornings that we were heading out before breakfast started. They were also very knowledgeable about local restaurants and attractions, and helpful in making reservations for us when asked. After a week we were a little tired of the breakfast selections, but overall I would say that I was impressed with what they offered. We loved being able to take it back to our deck on a wicker tray.

Other points to mention - the stunning gardens with hundreds of plants and fountains. They obviously took a lot of trouble to maintain these to an impeccable standard. The place was very conveniently located close to the heart of St. Pete's beach and lots of great restaurants were just a couple of blocks away. We often walked to the local beach access in about 15 minutes (or you could drive in less than 5).

Overall, this place made our vacation very memorable. It is a quiet, romantic place. The other guests seemed mainly to be couples, and while they weren't anti-social, it was clear that everyone had come here for some peace and quiet. I would definitely recommend this place and the Waterfront Executive Suite to anyone staying in the St. Pete Beach area.

Room had NO ac. Moved us, but after grief. Breakfast was a joke. Cold muffins delivered to our room via a basket. I suggest you spend the money and stay at the Tradewinds or the Sandpiper.
If wealthy go to the Don. DONT' STAY HERE... Treat yourself!!!
