“Watch for extra charges!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012 via mobile

We have gone to Eddy Teachs' for several years. It's always about the same but this year took the cake. After we ordered our oysters the bartender told us that there was an additional $2 above menu price for each dozen oysters because there is a drought on oysters. Evidently this is the only place having a problem getting oysters. All the other places had plenty of oysters. How can you get add on a additional price to the price on the menu? Isn't it enough beer is $4.50 a bottle? After all that goes on here I think I'm done. I bought oysters from Doug and beer from the store, delicious indeed and no mosquitoes! Apalachicola has a good Oyster place with reasonable prices

“Delicious oysters and shrimp”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012

We ate here on a chilly, wet, February evening and were some of the only people there. We had great service and the oysters and shrimp were very good. It is very casual and friendly, a great place to end up on a chilly winter night.

“Looks like fun but no service”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2012

from the outside this looks like a fun place, live music, outdoors, pet friendly. The problem is they have no staff. We tried to get service, waited at a dirty table for service, never came, went to the bar but the only staff( yes one person) was running around trying to serve the whole bar!. Waited over 30 minutes just listening to the music and finally left. Not a place to go if you want to drink or eat in a reasonable amount of time. So sad because this island only has a handful of places to go eat and drink. The island is nice but just doesn't offer vacationers much.

“Pretty much a watering hole”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2012

Service was fine and prompt. When you walk up you have to ignore the dumpster/ fish smell. Oysters and shrimp were great, but the crab legs were way over seasoned. Sitting outside I was eaten alive by something. I don't get bitten easily, so trying to enjoy my dinner was hard. We have eated outside at all the other restaurants and I haven't had the problem since.
If you are looking to watch a game, drink a beer and just eat a small bite this is your place. Place is pricey, but again everything on the island is high.

“Best oysters and live music on Island”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2012

Once again for 6 years in a row that we have been coming to the Island Eddy Teach's is still the best. From the music to the oysters and all the friendly people you meet. Listen to stories and they make you feel like you've been living there for years.Jim and Vicki are the best.Look forward to another great visit next year.
