“Wonderland if venomous snakes :-)”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013 via mobile

Definitely a different experience when it comes to snakes! Never have been so amazed to see hundreds of snakes in one location, many if which dangerously venomous!! Highlight of the trip would be the milking of the venomous snakes; albino king cobra, cottonmouth, coral snake, and western diamondback rattlesnake. Amazing to witness the dare devil skill of the herpetologist and so full of knowledge! Not a luxurious location with the fancy bells and whistles of the larger zoo's, but definitely a place worth spending a few hours with the family!!! Very responsibly priced; family of 3, we paid about $25 total.

“Snakes Alive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

After my compulsory trips to the "M Kingdom", I wanted an old time real Florida tourist experience. So, I visited Reptile World in St. Cloud. Now, if you don't like snakes, then don't go. However, they are fascinating creatures and this is the place to go to see them up close and personal. The cost to get in is small and the snakes are there and are alive and amazing. I didn't realize just how many species of rattle snakes exist until I saw them here. Now, the facilities are sort of old and dated, but so what? After spending an hour or so looking at all of the snakes on display, there was a venomous snake milking demonstration. They do that here in order to provide venom to make anti-venom. This was the first time that I have seen it done up close. Let me tell you that it is serious business and extremely dangerous. But it is vital in order to help save lives. The owner is there to answer questions and let you hold a harmless, yet big milk snake at the end of the demonstration. This is a great experience for kids so that they can get a sense of what it takes to handle snakes and the risks involved. It also raises awareness of how important snakes are in the animal world. So take a half day and go do this with your family.

“Very cool”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2012

Not the biggest place but good priced, lots of snakes and turtles and other animals to see. They show was awesome, kept attention of my three year old, and he got to touch a snake, which he still talks about. Cute gift shop.

“A fun time”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2012

I took my 10 year old nephew who was visiting and he absolutely loved it. The reptiles were able to be viewed clearly and the personnel were very friendly. They do great work there. You should diffidently visit if you are curious about reptiles.

“Snakes Everywhere - Awesome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2012

I have never seen anything quite like this place. It is very unique with live venom milking shows. If you enjoy snakes and reptiles, this is a fantastic place for observation and learning. George VanHorn is an expert and was available for all questions after the demonstration. This would be a great place for families, especially for children and teens who love animals.
