“Excellent British Pub in St Augustine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

Located on U.S. 1 just north of the airport, this pub truly is sovereign British territory. The pub has an authentic pub feel, right down to the british decorations on the table legs and the suits of armor hanging in the corner of the room.

They have a good selection of British and Irish beer. Our favorite is the Fuller ESB. The pub food is quite tasty and of far better quality than you would find in most pubs in the UK. Various dinner pies, fish and chips, a special curry each week, mushy peas: all are fantastic. They have someone doing their pie pastries and desserts that produces a flaky and light pastry crust. I can't of any restaurant that produces desserts like the Kings Head.

Well worth the short drive out of St Augustine to visit this attractive and authentic English pub.

“A Bit of Brit in St. Augustine”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013

It was very hot and I would've given them 4 stars except that much like all other establishements in St. Augustine, the door was open to the restaurant when we arrived. I dislike this not only for the heat but the flies as well. However the waitress noticed our distress and closed the door which cooled off the very small restaurant quickly. It was VERY much like what one would expect of a small pub in merry old England. Good beer, good food, excellent service and a decent price. One of the better experiences we had in St. Augustine!

“FISH AND CHIPS”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

The best fish and chips within at least 100 miles. Real cod and great potatoes and a pint of Guiness on tap. Other very good English cuyisine available in a real old pub style. Small, cozy and lots of returning customers. Closed Monday and Tuesday. Try it in thw winter, when there's a fire going..............

“Fantastic pub!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

This British pub is hidden away, just north of St. Augustine's main downtown scene. Make the effort to drive (about 10 minutes or so) the few miles north on US ROUTE 1 (NOT THE A1A!). You can't miss the double decker bus and red phone booth!

Inside you'll find a little piece of the UK, and they brought with them some of the best fish & chips I've ever had.

I've fallen in love with this pub, and I'll be bringing my friends 'round to dine amidst the eclectic décor.

Just FYI - the fish&chips were a bit pricey - $15 for the plate. But it ended up being so much food, I couldn't finish it all.
