If there was an option to rate this better than excellent, I would do it! Present Moment truly is a hidden treasure, it is not in your direct sight seeing path. Had it not been for the suggestion of my inn-keeper at the B&B i was staying at I would never have found it!
First I would like to say that I have just recently become a vegetarian, for about a month now. Just last week my boyfriend and I went to St. Augustine for a get-away weekend. Dinning out has been somewhat of a challange for me since the switch. When I told my inn keeper I was a vegetarian he suggested that we try Present Moment, that it was an all organic, vegan restaurant. I was quite excited to try it, but my boyfriend is a huge meat eater- to my surprise he was very willing to experiment with me! Upon arrival you just get smacked in the face with this amazing smell! Then you sit and look at the menu, I have never been so torn before in my life, it took us about 30 mins just to order. I wanted to try it all. I setteled on the portebella croquetes- UNREAL! It may have been the most delicious meal I have ever had! My boyfriend had the lasagna, and I think he was even more blown away that I was! It was by far our best dinning experience thus far! Even if you are a meat eater- between the creativity and amazing taste of all the food- you will never miss the meat! I guarantee it! Im sorry I live so far from it! Hopefully I will be able to find something similar locally!
