Hubby & I came here our 1st night in St Augustine based on good things said in the forum. It's itty bitty, but loaded with character. I wouldn't call it a comfortable place, hard wooden seats aren't my favorite. It's not a place I'd linger all night sipping drinks, but it's good for a quick bite. My fish & chips were great, the fish really fresh. Hubby was disappointed with his pastie, which he called "very Ren(naissance) Fair." So I gave him a big portion of my fish to supplement his meal. As I used to live in England, I'm always looking for authentic pub-like places in the U.S. This doesn't rate high on my authentic meter simply because the atmosphere isnt conducive to hanging out with friends & knocking back pints all night. This is due to its tiny size & uncomfortable seating.
Would go again, but wouldn't necessarily go out of our way for it.
