“Lunch at the Reef”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2012

We had Lunch and it was good. We ordered the conch fritters as an appetizer and they were very fresh and cooked just right. I had a grouper sandwich and my Wife had Prime Rib Sandwich.
Both of the sandwiches were good. The pricing was not excessive and they did add on a Tip
which was Ok but i didn't have to abide by it if i didn't want to.

“Great Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

I found this my first day in St. Aug and was really taken with it. Wonderful menu so hard making a decision. Ended up ordering the black and blue salad--blackened prime rib with lots of blue cheese. I liked it so much I made a return visit a priority. This time shrimp salad with dill--at least a half pound of shrimp and no filler. Great service and reasonably priced given the large servings. And of course there is the view.

“Thanksgiving Buffet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

Had been assured that we would have a window table with only a 3-top (made reservations far in advance) but the first table was unacceptable. We asked for a different place and proceeded to have great service and delicious food. The prime rib, crab legs, and shrimp were outstanding as were the usual turkey, cranberry/orange sauce and stuffing. We had attentive and friendly service and the champagne kept coming. A very lovely holiday buffet with a wide variety of great food for a fair price. A nice change from cooking and right on the ocean!

“Not Your Mother's Thanksgiving...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2012

Made reservations for Thanksgiving dinner at 1 pm while we were visiting St. Augustine. They took us to a table upstairs, where the view of the Atlantic Ocean was beautiful, yes, but they seated us at a table as far from the window as possible. Why? The window tables stayed VACANT during our entire meal. Were they waiting for more beautiful families? Who knows? The turkey was dry, the gravy was orange, the mashed potatoes were from a mix. Thank goodness for the crab legs and shrimp. We paid $39 per person and we ended up having a second Thanksgiving dinner that night at Gypsy Cab in St. Augustine, for $15 for a homemade turkey dinner, which was delicious. Sorry, Reef, but it wasn't worth it.

“Great Start to A Trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2012

Staying at Vilano Beach in St Augustine and wanted a nearby restaurant. Noted that the Reef was nearby and went to Tripadvisor to confirm the Reef was a great place to eat. It was an unseasonably warm evening so we ate outside and the ocean and food was superb. Many of the table are oceanside, so one could not ask for a better view. Even on a slow Tuesday night, the full menu was available...and very good!
