“Great Seafood and Local Flavor”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2012

We dined here in Feb 2012 on reccomedations from locals for the best seafood in town. Triggerfish was excellent as were the oysters. It rained all evening so the dining under the 'big tent" with propane heaters was a little chilly. Wildlife and birds along the beach werre an extra treat. First seafood dinner in Fl at the beginning of our vacation and it set a high standard. Good service.

“Not Typical”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

Pleasant surprise! Beautiful setting on the water with amazing food choices. Oysters (not from Appalachicola), were sweet & salty! Seafood was fresh & cooked any way you want it-shecrab soup was worth the trip out by itself. There were 4 of us & the service was excellent, even the desert was wonderful. Sat outside on the deck with beautiful water & sunset view. Will definitely be back!

“Great Spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

We recently had a friend from Denver visit and she had NEVER been to Florida before (yes, those people exist!) After picking her up at the airport, we drove straight to Cap's for appetizers and a couple beers and she loved it!! We had the Smoked Fish Dip and Chicken Satay and both were very good. We sat out at the Oyster Bar and enjoyed the scenery, the food and, of course, the beers! Staff is great and there are many cool little areas to eat including an old boat with picnic tables.

“Beautiful sunset view, very good fish”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

We arrived at 6 p.m. and because we said we'd eat inside, we were immediately seated. The windows are large affording a nice view of the water and the sky.
The pear ravioli was delicious. We had the salmon and the panko crusted file fish - both were very good, tender and moist. (It really is FILE fish, not tile fish).
One criticism - they brought our entrees before we were finished with the appetizer. Other than that, the service was efficient and attentive. They do not take reservations. The parking lot is big and sandy so wear appropriate shoes.
Worth the drive, and we will return.

“Everything top notch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

We had dinner here at the recommendation of several people in St Augustine and were very well pleased with the decision. The sunset was pretty and everyone from the hostess to our server, Ryan, was friendly and helpful. We were there early as we'd been on the road and hadn't had any lunch so were looking forward to a great dinner. The SheCrab soup was a hearty start to this memorable meal---one of the best we've ever had, followed by some wonderful fresh Grouper which was prepared to perfection. The wine list was varied and complete and we fond a new French wine to try. My husband also had the Amaretti pie--a huge slice---very rich and chocklity, actually wanted to go back the next day for another slice. We will definitely be back whenever in St Augustine--although this is a fairly expensive resturant but well worth it.
