“Nice experience, good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

I have eaten here several times but have never written a review. I had the Spanish bean soup and the 1905 salad with a glass of sangria this time. The cuban bread that came with the meal was so fresh, it was perfect. The soup was wonderful with a very nice, full flavor. And it's hard to beat the 1905 salad. My server, Ashley, was attentive and friendly. Once again, a very nice experience.

“Excellent All Around!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

I love taking company here because it is affordable and the best place on St George street to eat authentic Cuban food. Try the 1905 salad!

“We left a bit disappointed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013 via mobile

As locals, we have plenty of restaurants to tempt us. We've eaten at the Columbia Restaurant here with friends and guests on a number of occasions in the past year, and tonight we were extremely disappointed for the first time. The service was spotty, the food was relatively tasty but overly salted, and various mistakes were made with our orders, including one significant mistake with the order of one of our guests--after we had prepared our out of town guests for a real treat. Imagine our embarrassment! Later, I read the less positive reviews here and realized that there appear to be times when Columbia in the Old City has its problems with inconsistency. The restaurant was not full, as we had come early, so the extremely slow and sporadic service was a real surprise. Perhaps we will take guests there again, but likely not. It's too unpredictable when there are so many other great options.

We always like to hear from long time guests, and we thank you for choosing to dining with us again. But I am sorry to read that you had such a disappointing meal, and that your out of town guests left with such a terrible first impression. We do read all comments here, good and bad, and will share yours with our general manager so he can check into the problems you described with your meals and service. We hope to welcome you back for a future visit.

“A Must!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

Every time we visit Saint Augustine, we have to come here. We love the atmosphere (the downstairs is our favorite dining area). The portions are generous. We love to get a pitcher of sangria, or mojitos. My husband always has to get the 1905 salad which is prepared in front of you. Our last waiter was average, but every other time we've been pleased with the service. The location is conveniently on St. George St.

“Ambiance and yummy!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013 via mobile

Authentic Cuban cuisine! So delicious! My husband had the snapper and I has pompano fish. INCREDIBLE! The decor is lovely- full of Spanish tile and set in an atrium. The servers were top notch and they even make fresh Sangria at your table. It is on the expensive side but so worth it!
