Visited the Dow Museum mid-September and were the only guests there. We had to hunt for someone to take our money, but the woman was very nice once we found her. We spent about an hour and a half leisurely strolling through the homes and enjoyed experiencing the history there. It's a great place for taking pictures, so if that's your thing, you might really enjoy it. The grounds themselves needed a lot of TLC, as did the various posters, plaques and signs throughout the complex. A guided tour would have been great, and worth paying extra admission for. The nice woman, however, answered all of our questions when we were done. For example, what in the world are those basin/kettle-looking things in the ground behind the Worcester House?? The property could use a lot of love from it's management, but it was time well spent and is worth visiting at least once.
