“Date night”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

First time going to the Floridian after many times trying to get a table. This place is always busy and it totally makes sense. The food is fresh and fantastic. The staff is friendly and ver informative. I tried the BBQ pork n waffles with extra honey and it was tasty. The wife tried the flounder and grits and to be honest I liked it better than my dish. The have a good selection of beer and wine also. Sorry not a full bar. Overall, the Floridian was great and we will definitely be back to try desert. One tip that we found out is that they don't take reservations but you can make a call ahead which I would highly recommend.

“Local, Organic Awesomeness”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

You feel the love when you eat here. They have amazing fusion food (think Southern Comfort meets World) with wonderful, fresh, local, organic foods. This place is great if you have allergies or are gluten intolerant as they have your back. They serve heavenly deserts and have a nice list of craft beers and wines (no cocktails or liquor).

A nice place to go with family or a loved one.

“Mind Blowing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013

Compliments to the chef on the dishes we ate. We started with fried green tomato bruschetta. The aioli sauce with chili and cumin adds the best spice and texture to the tomato. I ordered the Southern Bell bowl with grilled flounder, pecans, sweet potatoes, cheese and honey. The salad was the best salad I have ever had. All the flavors were well matched. It was an unreal experience!

“WOW!! A Great Meal in a Lovely Atmosphere.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

Dined here Sunday afternoon and loved every minute of it. I had a cup of soup - a Curry/Sweet Potato Soup that was absolutely delicious. In addition, I ordered the Elkins Salad - I had a choice of pulled chicken or that day's catch of the day which was flounder. I had the chicken and my salad was lovely to look at and delicious: contained the pulled chicken, roasted sweet potatoes, corn-poblano salsa, and cabbage slaw over fresh greens. It was topped with a perfect slice of fried green tomato and the dressing served on the side was a fresh buttermilk-herb. My friends also enjoyed their meals - a Dixie Burger and Shrimp and Sausage Pilau. None of us offered to share or a taste!! One of the top 5 places to eat in St. Augustine!

5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2013

Best salad ever in my life, fresh peaches, roasted red potatoes, pecans, fresh flounder, excellent.
My husband had the meatloaf sandwich, most fabulous. Very helpful service, she knew the menu, the wines very efficient. Ready to go back, need t get back to town!
