“The Unbelievable Part is it's almost $50 for a family of 4”

Terrible might be a bit strong so I'll give it a 2 instead of 1, but the Ripley's Museum is a waste of money and not that interesting. A few unusual items but mainly posters on the wall. We took our 10 year old and 7 year and were only marginally entertained. There were a few exhibits my 7 year old was frightened by and it requires walking along and reading if you don't want to rip through it in 15 minutes. The 4 things we liked inside were the two way mirror people make faces at, a light sensitive wall with a strobe light where you press up against the wall and can look at your shadow, and two hallways with rotating walls/ceilings that give the illusion of a moving walkway. The fort is much more interesting or go to Cap's on the intercoastal for dinner and drinks instead. We also walked over to the huge cross and looked out at the boats. we were lucky enough to see a manatee and it's calf about 20 feet from the shore.
Also enjoyed "the Present Moment" a raw foods restaurant in St Augustine on King Street.

First of all, even with a coupon for $1 off it is still like $13 a piece. Most of the displays are photos or posters of items that are in the other Ripley's museums as I have been to several in different states. It was not interesting at all. I was really dissappointed with it. Save you money.

I went to Ripleys I guess about 15 years ago (or so before I was married) My wife had never been there so we went the first week of Feb. I seems I saw most of the same things that where there then. I did see just a few things ( but, not many that where new ) I think they should move things around from the other Ripleys in the Country unless they have the same items that have been reproduced ( not sure about that) . In my opnion Ripleys is the sort of thing you go once a life time unless they change the display more often

Originally, we wanted to stop here on the way back from Disney World, but after reading the reviews here I decided not to waste my money.

Well, my son really wanted to go so I said what the heck and we went.

I'm sure glad we did because it was a highlight on our trip!!!

From the reviews I had read I didn't expect to see much besides pictures on the walls, but I got a lot more than that!

There were stories of exhibits, yes, pictures too, but more artifacts than pictures definately.

The old mansion is neat itself, and we saw some wonderful things that day. It took us about 3 hours to see it all and play in the tunnels, etc.

I highly recommend going there if you want a fun, interesting afternoon.

“Ghost Tour & Museum - a pass”

Ripley's Believe It Or Not

We have been to both the Ripley's museum and have been on the walking ghost tour. Both of them had some very interesting information but were very mildly entertaining and not worth the money.

Most of the exhibits at Ripley's museum are pictures and not actual artifacts in the museum.

The walking ghost tour is not scary and most of the 'ghosts' we were told did not die in the St. Augustine area. Also the ghostly experiences that supposedly other tours encountered were acorns falling from trees (boy ghost throwing them from branches), street lamps flickering (ghosts trying to communicate), etc. Oooh.. spooky!

Both sites would be fun for children between 6-13, but I would not recommend them for adults or for smaller children.
