“Neat place to eat”

My wife and I love to find quaint restaurants in St Augustine. This was a really neat place. The waffles are a must as well.

We are of Polish heritage and were excited to find this little gem which included some of our family favorites on the menu. charming little place on the most historic street. Excellent service, very nice people.

“Delicious, authentic Polish food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2012 via mobile

Came across Gaufres and Goods while walking historic Aviles Street. Enjoyed a Greek salad and perogies. Perogies are delicious. Owner works as the server. She is an absolute delight. She spends a minute to talk to each table. The limited seating adds to the small old world charm. We will definitely be back.

“Very Interesting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2012

The Polish dishes (chesse and potatoes periogies and stuffed cabbage) were excellent. The hunter stew served on a sour dough roll not so much. The menu didn't say meat stewed in sauerkraut and spices so I was pretty dissappointed and didn't eat the dish and the roll wasn't like any sour dough I ever tasted. The Greek salad had plenty of cheese and was tasty. My world traveled neighbor never saw lettuce in a Greek salad in Greece but who knows. They had boxes of fried dough dusted with powdered sugar that brought back fond memories for my wife who really enjoyed them. The place is very very small but we didn't have a problem getting a seat. If you would like to try the unusal or are of Greek or Polish origin you shouldn't be dissappointed

“Food like Grandma Made”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

The location is small and only seats a few tables which is lovely. I liked the small, intimate cafe nature of this great find. It's on Aviles street, so you get to enjoy one of the oldest streets in America.
The food was amazing. I had the pierogies with mashed potatoes, cheese, grilled with onions. It brought me back to my childhood. The owner also serves you and she is a delightful lady from Poland who exchanged a few Polish phrases with us.
You also can't beat the prices. I will definitely go back on my next visit to the old city.
