“Nice Inn & Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

This small Inn was very nice & in a great location !!! Near the Lion Bridge & Historical Section of St Augustine. The Parking lot was ample & also had a nice raised deck with tables . We relaxed on the deck with a glass of wine & snacks one evening. Staff was nice & helpful. We walked from the Inn to the Historical Section & enjoyed all of St Augustine without the "hassle" off driving & parking our car. It is not the "Fancy" hotel some people like, but it was a good value, location
& had a wonderlful waterfront view !!

We stayed at the Bayfront Inn because of location and reviews. The carpet was so dirty that our barefeet were black from walking around in the room. When we stepped onto the tile in the bathroom and in the tub, there were black dirty footprints. The hotwater heater broke and my fiancee had to shower in ice cold water because no one let us know. After I called the front desk and was told a plumber had been called. It was 10:30 am before the water was hot. The continential breakfast left a lot to be desired. It consisted of toast, cold cereal or crockpot oatmeal. Location is great, walking distance to everything. Staff was polite. Room really needed a small refridgerator.

My bridesmaids and I used the Bayfront Inn's Charlotte Cottage as the location to get ready for my wedding. It's a cute 2 story cottage that's a nice private alternative to one of the hotel rooms. It's only about 4 blocks from the Bayfront Inn. The first floor is a large high ceiling open room with washer/dryer, dining table, living room area, and fully stocked kitchen and bar seating area. Outside of the Charlotte Cottage is an adorable outdoor fireplace and seating area. We definitely would have used it if it weren't so cold while we were staying there. The cottage seems to be in the back of a much larger house. However, we never saw any people in or around the other house. We did see their 2 dalmations on the day that we checked in. However, we never saw that dalmations again after that. The only bathroom is on the second floor of the cottage where the bedroom is located. I would definitely stay at the cottage again. It was adorable and surprisingly roomy... especially for 5 girls and a hairstylist. We were also able to take advantage of the free continental breakfast at the Bayfront Inn. It was slightly disappointing, though. Bread, bagels, coffee, juice, yogurt, oatmeal, and cereal...

We had the awesome privilege of staying at the Bayfront Inn this weekend for two nights. The location is just outside of the city but within walking distance to restaurants and St. George Street. Our car did not leave the parking lot until we were checking out today!

The room was quaint and cozy. I am sure we had one of the smallest rooms on the property but it was the end unit sitting right on the street with a perfect view of the bay and the horse and carriages going by each evening. If the weather had been nice, we could have sat out on the front porch and enjoyed the view. However, we were able to enjoy it from the three windows instead.

As some have stated, this is an older hotel but our room was fixed up nicely. Minor issues like the heater being loud and some minor bleach spots on the carpet outside of the bathroom. If you are looking for brand new and no charm then look elsewhere. We personally really liked the character of the hotel. It was clean and freshly painted with a remodeled bathroom.

Passed on the breakfast! The choices were fruit, cereal, bread, and yogurt. Not our favorites so we went elsewhere. The one thing I would suggest is a small fridge in the rooms would be REALLY nice!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view! We had the end unit on the first floor. Not big but worth the view!!! Yo...

We stayed at the Bayfront Inn for 3 nights and this was our first trip to St Augustine. You can't ask for a better location; this hotel is within walking distance to everything in the old city. It's on the far end so it's far enough for privacy, but still super close. From check in to check out, everyone we met were very friendly and helpful. We loved gathering on the top deck in the evening before heading out. The rooms are very cute and the overall vibe of the place feels like old Florida. Will stay again anytime we visit this wonderful city and would recommend to anyone!

We arrived on Friday, and had a great weekend. The property itself looked older from the outside, but the decor flowed with the city and the location overlooking the bay was perfect. When we checked in they were already prepared for us and the process was quick. When we arrived at our room, for the three days that we were there it was perfect and met our needs. Nothing too fancy, yet accommodating. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. The only problem we had during our stay was a faulty iron, I called and within 10 minutes the maid arrived with a brand new iron. We will definitely be back to visit Saint Augustine, and will stay at the Bay Front Inn again.

We stayed at the Bayfront Inn for 1 night it was our first time visiting St. Augustine. The hotel is in a great location and within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. We were in a room on the first floor right next to the lobby and that was the issue, we did ask for a room on the second floor but none were avaialble. You can hear everything on the second floor and everyone going to and from the lobby, very noisy. The bathroom was clean and spacious the rest of the room was ok as far as cleanliness and comfort. Both queen beds squeaked unbelievably though. Did not get a good nights sleep between the sqeaky bed and the noise from the floor above. for the price I would have hoped for a little better accomdations. Overall not bad however.

Room Tip: get a room on the second floor.
