“Charming and friendly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2012

In early April my husband and I wanted to spend two nights in St. Augustine before leaving Florida to head north. We found a vacancy at the Centennial House. From the moment we entered until the minute we left, we did not regret our choice. Our first floor room, Fleur de Lis, was extremely clean, fresh and welcoming. Beverly, Lou and staff are outstandingly friendly and helpful. Coffee was delivered to our rooms in early morning, and the breakfasts served on the porch were homemade and delicious. The house is centrally located in Old Town--an easy walk to St. George Street. We had an extremely pleasant two nights and did not want to leave so soon. We have stayed at other B&B's in St. Augustine in past years. We would rate the Centennial House right among the top places we have stayed! We're sure we will return for another visit, perhaps next year!

Room Tip: Our room was on first floor off main entrance. We enjoyed it and did not find it at all noisy. It...

My Fiance and I love this place. We have stayed here 4 times in the last 4 years and have had an amazing experience each time. Centennial House is ideally located just a couple of blocks away from St George street in the heart of historical downtown St Augustine. Beverly has always been warm and welcoming, making guests feel like friends who have come to visit. She is genuinely commited to making sure that her guests have everything they need to have a wonderful stay. The rooms are exquisite. We try out a different room each time. Our favorites so far are the Safari room and the Gentleman's Quarters. Both of which have a jaccuzi tub and a fireplace, (St Augustine can get cold in the winter months.) We love the breakfasts, and really enjoy waking up and getting ready for our day with fresh hot coffee and tea, which are placed outside of the door to the rooms. The rooms are each decorated uniquely and are kept spotless. Beverly, Lou and the staff are all extremely accommodating. We have always enjoyed our visits to Centennial House, and look forward to our next visit to a place that we feel has become a true home away from home.

We came up from cental Florida to have a romantic weekend for our 22nd Anniversary. This was a lovely B&B in the heart of the historic district. Perfect location. Everything was within a few minutes walk. Great food,Great staff, a quiet room, and comfortable bed. We loved it and will stay here again, soon I hope.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Olavarez room. Our room was not the biggest or the prettiest, but it was still very...

This place has the best of everything for me. Nicely updated with comfy king size bed & big soaking tub with a fireplace for ambiance. The breakfast was inventive and delicious. The hosts were friendly but unobtrusive. I will definitely be back and highly recommend a stay here. My only complaint and it's a small one is the size of the TV.

The place was very nice, clean, and spacious. The breakfast was good, and the coffee was strong. It is walking distance to all the places in Historic St. Augustine. The owner was very nice, inviting, friendly, and helped with recommendations. When in Saint Augustine, I will stay there again. The only thing I didn't like was the choice in fabric softener, it was a bit strong, but you can't please everyone.

Cute, cozy and romantic B&B with wonderful hosts. Highly recommended.
Although it is located in the heart of St Augustine and walking distance to everything you want to see, you will have peaceful comfort and relaxation in one of their rooms, each with the unique theme.

My girlfriend and I were looking to stay a night in a B&B located right close to the old town so we could bike around and leave our car but nearly everywhere was either booked or way overpriced. I found this place, and booked it immediately. Good thing I did because it was one of the best places I have ever stayed. It is a 5 min bike ride to the Castillo and nearly everywhere else in St Augustine. We were joking that we could pretty much go anywhere within 5 min from our little HQ on Cordova Street. We stayed in the Safari Room which was moderately sized but had an extended bathroom that holds the toilet and a very nice glass enclosed shower. It has a really cute fireplace and even a whirlpool in the corner...with a rubber ducky! Right outside our room was a fridge and fully stocked wine cooler. Breakfast was served at around nine and coffee before that but we sleeped in. That's how comfy our California King was. All in all a great place to stay in the beautiful Old City. Will def book again!!

Room Tip: Book early, rooms fill up quick!
