We had a bad experience with this B and B. My husband ended up in the hospital for surgery. As soon as it we were told, we called the Olde Powder House Inn to cancel or reschedule. It was over a week before our reservation and experience told us they would easily re-rent the room. They charged us the entire amount ($600) plus a $50 fee and would not let us use the days at another time. You know, places can have their rules but isn't there room for human kindness? We did not cancel for any other reason than an unavoidable medical emergency. Judging by how they treated us, I think this would be a terrible place to stay.
