“Great time in St. Augustine at The Kenwood Inn.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2013

Just got back from a truly relaxing weekend trip to St. Augustine. We stayed at The Kenwood Inn and felt pampered the entire time. From great breakfasts, to the wine hour in the evenings, Pat (owner) made us feel like we were her only guests. The Inn is a short walk from all the historic sites, meaning you are not in the middle of the crowds or noise. The Inn was clean, comfy and the staff was always asking, "can we get you anything?" Nothing in St. Augustine is too far from anywhere. The weather could not have been more pleasant. We did not have to drive the car all weekend! Not to be overlooked in a vacation spot.

Room Tip: The Inn is historic and has stairs. There are rooms on the ground floor for those who don't do s...

Our family of five passed through St. Augustine on our way home from Orlando, to decompress after a busy week of theme park after theme park. We stayed in the Bayview Suite on the top floor. It was a great option for us, offering separate bedrooms for parents and kids (the kids room easily accommodated a rollaway for our 5-year-old) and a living area to lounge around in. The kids particularly appreciated the window seat with a lovely view of the bay. We had two tasty and filling breakfasts, including a special cooked-to-order offering of eggs benedict to celebrate St. Patrick's day. It was a pleasure to interact with our fellow guests around the large communal breakfast table, and Pat was a very gracious host. The Inn's location is terrific -- in a very historic part of town, an easy walk to many activities, but just enough off the tourist-beaten path to be quiet. The sound of horse hooves on the cobblestones outside in the evening was a quaint and memorable effect. Of the five different lodging establishments we patronized on this trip, the Kenwood Inn was unanimously named the favorite. Our nine-year old daughter, upon returning home from a trip to the "happiest place on Earth," declared that the place she really wanted to go back to was St. Augustine.

Our stay could not have been any nicer. Visiting the Kenwood is like visiting Pat's home and family.....that's how warm the experience is. Our rooms and all others I got to peek in were lovely. The garden, pool and fishpond were also wonderful. The Kenwood is situated so that you can mingle with others or enjoy a quiet corner for solitude. We were in town for a wedding and in addition to the relaxing environment had ample room for visiting and catching up. Other family members staying at a chain hotel had the luxury of no hot water for 2 days and were rather frazzled!
The Kenwood is already my first choice for next years visit!

Room Tip: We combined Room 3 with Room 4 across the hall for our own mini family reunion. Lots of space and C...

I planned this trip to St Augustine as an Easter mini family reunion. We occupied three separate rooms for the holiday and enjoyed every second. From the beautiful rooms, lovely pool and koi pond patio, the outstanding breakfasts and the lovely wine each evening, our hostess/innkeeper Pat made our holiday extra special. The Kenwood staff makes you feel like cherished family guests. The inn is situated close enough to old town St Augustine to walk to almost anywhere, yet removed enough to provide quiet and serenity. This B&B experience was marvelous and we will return.

Room Tip: We occupied the green room, the captains suite and the brass rooms. Each was well appointed and comf...

The first thing I must say in this review is how WONDERFUL the inn owner, Pat is. She is friendly, knowledgable and accommodating, welcoming from the minute you step in the door. The inn itself is beautiful, and our room, The Captain's Quarters, was gorgeous. The pool and courtyard area are great... it was a pity for our son that it was too cold to swim - but we borrowed the inn's bikes and toured around. Agree with all about the wonderful location and breakfast. Highly recommend!!

We stayed for 2 nights and Pat made us very welcome. Breakfast was wonderful and the Kenwood eggs were excellent. Wine is served in the evening and the beds are very comfortable. The Kenwood Inn is located very close to downtown St. Augustine, an easy walk. Would highly recommend this B&B!

I planned this bed and breakfast overnight get-away to celebrate my husbands birthday. We enjoyed every minute of our experience there at the Kenwood Inn. Pat, the owner, made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived until we left. Breakfast was delicious. Hope to stay longer next time.
