“The guide made it worth it”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

There are a lot of interesting things to see in the store. You will need no more than a half an hour to do the tour though.

Our two guides were very entertaining and it was pretty cool to see what people were buying in the 1800s and early 1900s. Learned a lot.

“It was fun”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013 via mobile

If you're into seeing old stuff than this is perfect. I found it entertaining enough... The little ones would prob. Be bored though...... I recommend checking it out... We got combined tickets for this and the jail which was definitely worth the cost for both...

“First room is fantastic... after that it dies”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

The front room is just full of history. I absolutely loved seeing all the old medicine, the old counter, register and doors. The floors themselves can tell much more about how old the place is that anything. After that you walk into another room where they sell personal care items and like a giftshop. It's dreadfully hot and smells like old lady. There is one wall in that room with display cases with old pepsi/coke bottles and medicine, but that's where the fun ends. Nice to look and there's no fee, but it's really short, like maybe 15 minutes of just passing through.

“Interesting Small Museum but not at 4 Artillery Lane”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Had a hard time finding this museum since it is not at 4 Artillery Lane, which is near all the shops on George St. This museum is beside the Old Jail. Enjoyed it but would have liked more time to browse & take in the MANY items around the room. If you like household antiques, this is for you. If you are from the country & attend old farm estate auctions, you may have already seen a lot of the items. Only $6 for this tour, 1/2 hr max. Last tour @4:30 pm

“So much to see!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

Recently toured The Oldest Store Museum Experience in St Augustine, and was rather amazed. The actors put you in 1908 (similar to The Old Jail nearby), and you are introduced to products and sales pitches from the time. There is so much to see inside this building! My only complaint would be that I'd like more time to see the things in the front of the store.
Obviously a great deal of time, effort, and money have been put into this attraction. I can't think of anyone who would not be entertained and educated by it.
