“San Vito of Ruskin”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2012

San Vito has the best Italian food I have ever eaten! Everything is made with fresh ingredients, homemade and packed with flavor! It has a casual dinning atmosphere and you receive great portion sizes for your money. I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant...I have been back 3 times this week for their "Mussel Scampi", it's to die for!

“Not as good as San Remo”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2012

My husband and I heard good things about San Vito pizza, being from NYC we are always looking for good NY type pizza. San Remo,Apollo Beach is excellent as is East Coast Pizza, and we were hoping that San Vito would be too. But alas it is NOT....we ordered 1/2 xcheese,1/2 meatball....crust was chewy, not crisp, cheese and sauce were very bland...not top quality for sure...meatballs had a strange sausage flavor....very,very disappointing. I loaded my slice with crushed red pepper/garlic to try to add some flavor. On another note....hours are supposed to be tues.-sat. 11 am - 9 pm. We arrived at 3:10 pm to find a note on door stating restaurant is closed from 3-4 pm daily. Not a good business practice. Price was reasonable, but if you are not happy with the food, even a good price is not an incentive to return.

“It looked like a hole in the wall from outside, food was fabulous”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2012

I had not been able to find decent Italian food in this area. I live in King's Point, Sun City Center during winter. You really have to drive to Brandon or Sarasota for decent Italian food. San Vito's is good food. The owner comes from Italy and the food is freshly made. You can eat well for under $20.00. However, when we saw it from the outside, we almost left without going in. It is attached to the Flee Market on US 41 and 19th Ave. NE. Fridays & Saturdays they have music and a small dance floor and it gets very busy.

“Entertaining dinner”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2012

Apprehensive to dine at San Vito when we drove up to indoor flea market location. We were pleasantly surprised upon entering to find many elderly diners dancing in the open space to a live musician. Friendly server & good food. Had steady flow of diners & tables filled up by 8pm on Saturday night. My hubby & I enjoyed watching the dancers & inspired to learn how to dance before we retire :)
