“Typical waterfront diner”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2013

Had garlic/butter shrimp pot. Bland but was able to be seasoned up. Nice sized shrimp. Very busy during lunch hour and cleanliness suffered---seems to be typical in diners of this sort. Elevated level of 2nd dining area allows more water front views. Service was prompt for the amount of tables being handled. Good location in Fisherman's Village, free parking for Village which is nice. Not the best upkeep and certainly not the place for fine dining; however serves the purpose for a tourist to eat.

“Lunch at Harpoon's”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013

Stopped here today for a lunch of Grouper. Had the Grouper Basket and Shrimp Basket. Great outdoor and indoor seating. The place was packed. Seating is at any available table. We thought the service might be slow due to the crowd but we got our drinks and then food with no long wait! The food was usual for this type of restaurant/pub!!

“Can be cool on the deck on cold days”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

We had lunch there on a Wed. in late Feb. and it was a cold day, high of 62 degrees and very windy. We sat on the deck by the water because they had clear plastic sheeting around the edges. And some heaters. But it was still cold because some wind always got in. (We should have sat inside.)

Anyway, the food was good and relatively reasonably priced. We thought it would be a tourist trap but it really was not. The service was prompt and friendly.

There was no entertainment when we were there; no problem, we were not expecting any.

The tables on the outdoor deck would be ideal on a nice, warm, sunny day.

“lunch at fishermans wharf”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

Stopped here for some pub type food for lunch one day while my wife was shopping, and took me along, at the local fisherman's wharf. It is located on the water, easy to observe boat traffic in and out of the marina from your seat at an outdoor table. Food is your usual bar/pub food with a sea food twist, being on the Gulf of Mexico. Beer wasn't bad either. Overall, can't complain.

“Sensational Views and Good Eats”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

Having arrived to my fathers house on Friday after a 2 and a half hour drive from Miami, we opted to eat out and save the dish cleaning to the restaurant people. We arrived at about 2:30 on a perfectly sunny day and chose a nice table right on the water.
Nothing about this place is pretentious, there is a roll of paper towels on the table for hand cleaning, and paper plates abound. Having said that, the food was really very good. We ordered conch chowder, peel and eat shrimp, Moscow oysters, philly cheese steak and a pot roast sandwich. The oysters were the show stopper- topped with vodka and caviar. Wow! delicious and fresh. Even the peel and eat shrimp were above average. Service was average at best and even though our waitress was friendly, she was forgetful at times. Fine though. We would come back again because the food was really good and the views are sensational. Sunsets alone would be worth 25% of the bill.
