“Outstanding Service, Outstanding Mexican Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

Great little place for very, very tasty Mexican food. Very casual, nice little outdoor bar, and cold tap beer. Overall a good place for a quick, tasty meal!

“deeeeelish!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

i was drawn to this cute little red and yellow shack set in the back of a parking lot. it had a few stools outside, and that's where i chose to sit, since the inside had no ambiance at all. i didn't have high hopes for the food, just wandered up for a quick bite.

well, the MOMENT my husband i tasted our food we both let out sounds of delight, and looked at each other in amazement. everything was so fresh and filled with flavor! who would have guessed?

highly recommended for the fabulous tacos. a word to the wise though - if you order a bean taco instead of the beef and bean that's listed on the menu, you get charged an extra $1.50... for less food...why? i hate it when that happens.

but still, the next time i'm in the area, i'm going back for more!

“What's not to like .. Consistantly good, very affordable, plenty of parking nearby.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013

What's not to like at Jimmy's Tacos !
Affordable daily specials, all freshly made and served by friendly wait staff.

Jimmy's has become this writers "new favorite" quick stop for lunch .. The Chicken Tacos Supreme are my pick .. but, anyone I've ever taken there for a quick lunch has had the same results and opinion .. fresh, well prepared food at very affordable prices.

In a town that has more places to eat than it has Summer residents, I believe that Jimmy's Tacos will be here for a long time as long as it maintains the same level of quality of food and service.

“Amazing tacos!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

It was a little hard to find, set back off the road, but it is definitely worth looking for. These were truly some of the best taco's I've ever had and the variety was amazing. If you go when the place is swamped like we did the service is a little slow not because they are inefficient but because everything is clearly made to order and if the restaurant is packed, it's going to take some time. But it's worth it. Be prepared there are a lot of choices to make about your tacos. The happy hour looks like a great bargain if you can swing the timing.

“Sloooooooooooooow”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2013 via mobile

First let me say that if you are looking for a place that is quick to get in and out of for lunch, look elsewhere. It was pretty full when we got there, but two tables were open out of around twelve. Took about ten minutes to get our drink order and the waitresses were running around even though almost no one seemed to be eating. Got my beer and tried to nurse it before the food came. Good thing I don't mind lukewarm beer, beaucause by the time our order arrived it was lukewarm and should have been almost flat. It was a full 30 minutes from drink to being served. I asked the harried waitress if it was typical to take so long to get served (nicely). She said there was a large order before ours (5 people) and since everything is done fresh to order it takes more time. They even cook the fish (I ordered fish tacos) on a separate grill in case of food allergies with shellfish. I had to chuckle and keep from asking if the chef also had to catch the fish.

My fish tacos supreme were quite good and the ingredients tasted very fresh. However, the fish was cold, so either it sat for a bit or it hadn't been just grilled to order. It didnt distract from the the dish. It was served with some nice fresh lime wedges and I have to say that even though the amount of fish was a little skimpy, I enjoyed them. Finished them in five minutes. My wife had the ground beef tacos and said they were good, but no better than the ones we make at home with the Ortega taco kit. She said next time she'll be more adventuresome and try a different option.

I think we will try them again, but not at the lunch hour. Must have been mostly locals because most snowbirds have gone home.

It's kind of a funky hole in the wall kind of place. Not much seating and you might find it somewhat expensive for tacos, but worth a try
