Lunch with hubby, having read the article in our local paper this morning. Cozy place, waitress's were excellent and soft spoken, given the restaurant wasn't extremely busy, you could easily converse and hear what was being said to each other. The food however wasn't any where near what we expected. We both had the lunch entree Schnitzel, with one side of German Potato Salad, and one side of Red Cabbage, which we split. First the Schnitzel-----------was very much like frozen pre-breaded deep fried piece of pork cutlet, with not much taste or tenderness. The German Potato salad was the consistancy of mashed potatoes, a little on the salty sour side, with little taste. Red cabbage wasn't bad, not quite a sweet as others mentioned in thier reviews, and I didn't notice any taste of apples. Over all, we were disappointed, especially since the paper and thier web site mentions "high quality ingredients and Authentic German" food. Perhaps if we had had something different, but Schnitzel is a very common German meal, and this was nothing like Schnitzel.
