“An impressive collection of GM muscle cars”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2012

Located in an old department store, the Muscle Car City Museum has house a vast assortment of vehicles dating back to the 1920s. The cars are beautifully shined for display and impressive for car buffs and non-car people as well. There is a rather large store selling a variety of goods and a small restaurant. Although I certainly recommend this attraction, I would say that the museum would benefit more by having addition placards detailing the history and some specifics about the vehicles. Perhaps someone on the floor to answer questions would be a great benefit as well. The outside of the building does look like a vacant parking lot and certainly could stand to have some decoration. And it would be nice to have the person selling tickets to give a quick welcome and brief introduction to the museum. Nevertheless, the cars speak for themselves and the collection and care are clearly evident. Definitely well worth seeing while in the Punta Gorda area.

“All those cars you wanted in High School!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2011

A wonderful way to spend several hours and see the amazingly large and high quality collection of cars from the 50's and 60's, with a large number of older cars and trucks, too. I was surprized at the size and quality of the displayed cars and memorability. If you even like cars a little bit, or are interested in the 50's and 60's culture, this is the place for you. They are building a restaurant in the museum, I'll bet that will be fun too. It is in an old Walmart store, and is bigger than you imagine.
