We were there the first week of 2013 for dinner. I had the Fish and Chips and my wife had the Beef Vindaloo. The fish and chips was tasty, perfectly fried and hearty big portion. The Vindaloo was more subdued and sure to not burn any palette, but very delicious. The Leek and Potato Soup was a bit light on leek and potato, and heavy to creamy, but tasted pretty good. The Irish beer selection is geared more to darker ales, but Harp is there and at the right temperature.
If you want quiet, this is not the place, as the floors, ceiling and walls are acoustically hard. They had a band the night we visited and the place was LOUD. This is not a criticism of The Celtic Ray, just a fact. If you like a lively, noisy crowd and good Irish-Style food/drink, this is your place.
