“Bonsai Garden is the best around!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

We visited specifically to the Bonsai garden, which has a well deserved reputation as being one of the best around. It is unbelievable! The structure and appearance of the trees is like nothing I have ever seen.

The rest of the gardens are very nice. Not overly large, but a nice size to fully explore in 1-2 hours. We had a very nice time, and would go back if we are in the area. The $6 price was well worth it!

“Disappointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2013

Hopefully, it will look better, the longer it is here. There were very few flowers to see. An OK butterfly garden. The Port St, Lucie Orchid Society should be ashamed to put their name out there. The orchids were very neglected. Nice pond. No one else there. Won't be back.

“A little slice of Heaven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

For a very young Botanical Garden ran by volunteers, this place is absolutely beautiful. This was my favorite place I visited while on vacation. It was not busy. The staff was friendly and the gardens are gorgeous.

The grounds are very pretty and well maintained. Have been to a few events there but never have found anything that you cant get somewhere else.

“Small garden with room to grow...no pun intended”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2013

We visited the garden for the first time last night as part of an evening listening to the Ft. Pierce Jazz and Blues Society. Right off the bat all I could think was that this was the perfect place for a wedding whether it be indoor or outdoor. The concert was help in the pavilion where the gift shop is located which I was grateful for. Air conditioning and no mosquitoes was a big plus. the building was beautiful large banks of windows overlooking the gardens and fountain.

During an intermission we ventured outside to the gardens. As others mentioned this is a small garden at the moment that holds great potential for the future. For now I would say it is more of a quiet retreat from all the hub bub in the area. The city was smart in laying a foundation for the future growth of the garden with beautiful wide sidewalks wandering throughout the garden. The area is very well maintained for what they do have. The only complete section is the butterfly garden which is beautiful and very well stocked with a variety of blooming and very fragrant flowers.

Over time and with the help of donations and volunteers this young garden has the potential to become a real gem. For now - treat it as a quiet retreat to reflect and recharge your batteries.
