I only stood here because my mother insisted. We stopped for the night, on our way back home from Miami. There were ants in the bathroom, I saw this as a way to get a refund and continue driving, since they had no more rooms. My mom was too tired and did regret not leaving. She woke up with bites on her neck, she believes it came from the pillow, which I wouldn't touch. The only thing I was happy with was the microwave and fridge. I would never stay there again, the place looks run down. I didn't care for the breakfast either.

Others have ranked this location low so I thought I needed to share my expeierence from this evening.

When trying to check in, it seemed they did not have my reservation. Once they checked with the confirm number, the counter person realized they had given my room to another guest. Not only had they given the room to another guest, they had the person sign a copy of the folio with all my personal details. Once they realized the problem, they proceeded to get me room 321 (AAA rate upgraded to a suite). The lady at the counter made a comment when giving me the room that the workers had recently "detailed" the A/C. Well guess what.....WEAK A/C....I wish I could have opened the window, it would have been cooler. I also did not get the Diamond amenity of water and snack, and the wireless connection did not work. The wired connection worked as expected and I was able to log on to my company via VPN.

The facility was adequate but nothing special. The price was above to well above others in the area. This was the only Hampton (or any other hotel for that matter) that I've stayed at that did not offer AAA discounts. Not a good value.

As an aside, there were two cops on my floor one night for a couple of hours. I guess they were looking for someone.

If I have a choice, I won't stay there again.

I recently returned from a weeks vacation in Port St. Lucie and stayed at the Hampton Inn on Peacock Blvd. My first choice was the Spring Hill Suites across the street which I stayed in last March and was very pleased with everything but they were booked. My room at the Hampton Inn had plaster falling from the ceiling and visible water stains. The rug was frayed in some areas and the toilet constantly backed up and remained clogged during my entire stay. When I complained to the front desk, they asked me if I would like a plunger until they could get somebody up there. I also noticed a plunger in the lobby ladies room as well. I was not impressed with the front desk staff. The only plus was the buffet breakfast.
