“Food Less Then Impressive”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2012

My wife, mother and I tried this restaurant since we had good experience with the restaurant closer to Jacksonville where we live. Unfortunately we did not have the same quality experience at this location. The texas tonions came out dry and overcooked. The prime rib tasted okay but had way to much fat on it. The chop steak that we ordered medium well came out blood rare and so I sent it back only to get it very well done and dried out. It seemed like after getting the chop steak at the table the second time our waitress disappeared until it came time for the check and then we had to track her down. Very disappointing

“The best of the three for steaks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

Been going here for years (at least monthly), and it's the absolute best place for steaks. The only other good ones are Harold Seltzer's (across the street), and Texas Roadhouse (I-75 & SR56).

And, don't even try to suggest Outback or Cody's. They don't come near comparable. Longhorn "does not" marinate their steaks, like Outback does.

We (wife and I) routinely sit at the bar or our "special little table" near the bar. They know us when we arrive, and know what we drink and order. We always get the $25 Porterhouse, which we split. I have the salad, and she adds a soup to the mix.

We get just enuf of the best, and don't waste money or carry it home. We both leave very satisfied, and never carry a doggie bag out.

Life is good.
