“Good deal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2011

Good location near shopping, restaurants and interstate. Clean and spacious rooms with nice decor and the bathrooms were nicely done with granite. All for $65 per night!

Hallway carpet on the 2nd clean needs to be cleaned.

Breakfast was adequate except for the little coffee cups.

We stayed overnight to visit family. The hotel was clean and conveniently located near several restaurants and stores. I noticed a musty smell in the room but it got better once we ran the A/C for a while. The wireless Internet was good. The biggest downside is access from the road. The only way in is through a shopping center parking lot and this isn't clear when you exit I-95. If you're looking for a comfortable, reasonably priced room, this will work.

Just had comment at what a great deal this place is. I was totally shocked when I checked in at how nice the room was. It reminded me of a Hampton Inn. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The best part is that the room was only $67.00 a night compared to others that are well over 100. Another nice feature is its proximity to restaurants. I ate both nights at an Italian restaurant that is a stones throw from the front door. A super target is also within walking distance. I also appreciated how close it was to the interstate.

Convenient to I-95 and few restaurants/fast food spots. On first night when turning down bed, there was a huge brown stain on the sheet; in plain view. This should have never been allowed by housekeeping even in a one-star motel. After complaining to front desk, the sheet was replaced. Room/hotel was quiet even facing the interstate. Matresses firm and 'innersprings' can be felt.

The hotel staff is always friendly. The rooms are nice and clean. The only downside was the breakfast. I have had better staying at other La Quinta's but overall a good place to stay and close to the interstate.

We stayed at the La Quinta for one night when visiting a close family friend who lives in South Daytona. Wanted something newer, clean, with 2 queen sized beds. The La Quinta fit the bill. The price was right for what we needed. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The room was a little tight with the two queens as the beds took up much of the floor space, but this wasn't a problem as we were really only in the room to sleep. The breakfast in the morning was good, nothing extraordindary, but enough to fill us up. No hot items per se, it may have had a waffle machine I don't remember, but no hot eggs or breakfast meats things like that. For the price however that was not a disapointment.

The area felt very secure and safe and the hotel was very close to the freeway as well as a lot of nice shops and restaurtants. Went to dinner at the very close shopping area called The Pavillion. We would definately consider this hotel again when we're in the Daytona/Port Orange area.

DH and I stayed here for 4 nights during July 2011. We were impressed by the nice atmosphere and nicely appointed room. We chose this hotel because it is dog-friendly. We travel with our 2 dogs frequently and typically stay at Super-8 or Days Inn. We've never stayed at a La Quinta before and this was the first time we have taken the dogs to such a nice hotel, and with corridor room entrances. Frankly, when I walked into the lobby to check us in, I hesitated b/c it was so nice I couldn't believe it was dog-friendly and thought maybe there had been a miscommunication when I made reservations. But no, all was fine and they got to experience their first elevator ride. Housekeeping staff was polite and very competent. The grounds were nicely manicured. The pool and hottub looked nice from the doorway, but we didn't get a chance to use them.
One 'downside' issue - breakfast was continental, so we were a little surprised that it was billed as 'hot breakfast'.
All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly stay there again when in the area.
