“Beautiful area with friendly staff, but . . . .”
We arrived with our family of five and rented a two bedroom villa. Plenty of space and a good sized kitchen. Fantastic beds! The hotel provides transportation to the area beach club and some area restaurants. Food in the hotel restaurants was average hotel fare, but the lovely wait staff made up for anything lacking. Quite friendly. Also very good restaurants are within walking distance.
The drawbacks are the same as other reviewers mentioned. Leaf blowers at 7:15 a.m., some of staff is non responsive to needs, etc. The concierge seemed put out if you asked a question of her.
A hint: If you consider staying in a villa, ask for one that is not near the Pavillion. Ours was in the 1600 building (which sits behind the Pavillion) and there was late night and early morning activity most days that kept us from sleeping.
Did pop into the new spa for a treatment. While the facility was gorgeous, the treatment itself was rushed by my provider, who seemed very stressed. Not particularly relaxing for the money. Leave plenty of time to hang out in the spa if you choose a treatment and enjoy the hot tub etc.
We would consider staying here even with the drawbacks.
