“Avearge Chinese food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2012

The duck was OK, Had the dinner for 4 special that came with the duck as well as a shrimp dish and beef with broccoli. The duck was good except; the sauce that the server spread on the pancakes the duck was rolled in was overpowering. We were a family of 5 and had enough left over for the next day's lunch! The shrimp and beef dishes actually tasted better the next day! You could make as good duck at home simply leaving seasoned duck in the oven at 200F for 8 to 12 hours!

“Always busy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2012

its a good thing they are always packed. My NY Husband loves their fried rice. They make it just like they make it in NY. Its hard to find NY chinese food but Peking house does a good job. They are very friendly also.

“Still Good but Expensive”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2012

We had visited the Peking Duck House in Pompano Beach about 6 - 8 months ago and it was so good we wanted to go back for Mother's Day. I will say the food is still very good and the portions are nice sized. We had the crispy duck with vegetables, Tofu and Vegetables, Moo Goo Gai Pan (they accommodated us with brown sauce instead of the usual white sauce) and Beef, Chicken and Pork and Vegetables. Everything was brought out hot and overflowing the covered metal serving dishes. However, for a Mom and Pop Chinese restaurant it was so unusual that other than the dishes ordered, Hot Tea and rice (choice of white or brown), nothing came with the meal. Last time we were there, Egg Roll, Soup and ice cream came with each meal. This time it was all ala carte. Because it was Mother's Day, they gave us free ice cream, but otherwise, they do not include dessert.

I am used to this in an upscale Chinese Restaurant such as PF Changs, but I have never been to a local Chinese Restaurant that only offered items ALA carte. Their Peking Duck for two comes with Soup, but other than that dish, nothing else does. It was over $80 for 4 people and only three people got soup.

The food was good and plentiful, but considering all the other options around, I guess unless they change back to including soup, egg roll and dessert, we will find another location.

“Depressing Atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2012

The food is good but what a terrible Atmosphere. It must have been updated 30 years ago. Dark paneling everywhere and everything looks grungy. Its not a pleasant place to visit.

Have been to this restaurant several time, the food is always good. The shrimp fried rice is my favorite, there are plenty of shrimp and they big. This place is always clean and the staff is very friendly.
