I read some of the reviews before staying here and I should have considered the poor service comments more closely. I am still at the hotel and if I could leave and move somewhere else I would. $30 for a hamburger and a beer from room service. The burger was burnt and there was no opener for the bottle. I called to ask for one, they said they would be right up. 20 minutes later still no opener. I called again and they gave excuses of how busy they were and that they already knew that I called. I told them to skip it at that point because I was done eating and the beer was getting warm. Bad service is one thing, but there seems to be a general lack of concern when it is pointed out- don't make excuses, just make it right. I am writing this review at 5:15pm and they still haven't cleaned my room yet. When I called to ask for them to at least bring me clean towels, they said they were still cleaning rooms and would be up some time soon. When I questioned why they would clean rooms so late, they said they clean later in case guests want to sleep in. Seriously another excuse. I've never been at a hotel that waits until 6pm in the evening to clean a guests room. Also be aware that if you sit in the area of the hotel that is directly on the beach, the entire pool and sitting area is fenced in.This means that if you want to sit in a chair on the beach that actually faces the ocean, you have to go outside the hotel area and rent a chair for $25-$50. I also stayed in the new building- there is a new one and an old one- the rooms are not very quiet so be prepared to hear your neighbors and everyone in the hallway. Parking is $25 per day and is valet only so be prepared to add more to that charge for tip if you intend to leave and come back. The valets were probably the best at customer service in this hotel but for $25 a day plus tips, they should be. My advice is stay somewhere else. I have stayed at tons of Marriots in many different cities and this is the worst service I have ever experienced. There is no way this hotel is worth all the money and add on charges.

I apologize for the issues that you experienced during your stay at my hotel with your room service. All of the items that you pointed out were very constructive and we have already made a couple changes to our room service delivery based on your comments.
Our hotel is fortunate to only operate one housekeeping shift per day from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Most larger hotels use two shifts and a large number of their room are not cleaned until late into the evening. We also have a great program where you can make a appointment to have your room cleaned within a two hour window. This is something that you may want to use the next time you stay with our hotel.
I'm sure the next time you stay with us we will have this problem completely solved. We value your business and would like to have you stay with our hotel again in the future.
