My husband and I just spent 5 nights at this wonderful new hotel. First of all, I have to say that this hotel has the friendliest, most helpful, caring staff that I have ever seen. From the valet guys to the front desk to the restaurant staff, everyone we encountered really went out of their way to make sure we were enjoying our stay. We stayed in an oceanfront executive suite on the 6th floor and it was spectacular. We are Platinum members and we have stayed at a lot of hotels and this room was just perfect. The large wrap around lanai with a chaise lounge and table and chairs really made for a relaxing stay. The views were great and we didn't want to leave the lanai. The hotel has two mid size pools and is right on the ocean. We had the breakfast buffet every day and it was fresh and hot with a decent choice of items. The wait staff and the restaurant manager went above and beyond to greet us and make sure we had everything we needed. The spa does not open until November so we had to use the spa at the Residence Inn. People gripe all the time about paying for parking but this seems to be the norm with this part of Florida. We knew this ahead of time so we were not surprised about the $25/day parking charge. They only do valet but if it is raining, this is a plus. Other people also gripe about paying for beach chairs. Again, every time we have come to Florida, this is also the norm. It's a public beach and the chairs are always handled by private vendors. I definitely recommend this hotel and we can't wait to stay there again.
