Valentino's is the real deal. Delicious Italian food prepared with the best ingredients by people who know what they are doing. So good, I've been there four times in a month! My first experience was just a glass of wine with friends who'd already enjoyed dinner. They raved about the eggplant parmagiana, and I truly enjoyed the pinot noir. My second experience was a late night dinner following the theater with friends. (I LOVE that Valentino's is open late, especially on weekends.) That evening I had the spaghetti puttanesca, a customer favorite, according to our waitress. I can see why. My friends shared tastes of their dishes: eggplant parmagiana - delicious and rich, but with a light breading so that it's not too heavy, and chicken marsala - the best I ever had - with perfectly al dente pasta and a sauce that's just wonderful. We shared an apple tart with vanilla sauce that evening, which I paired with a cappucino so good and so foamy that Valentino's is sure to put a hurting on their neighboring Starbuck's. My third experience was dinner with co-workers. We dined on the patio, fully enjoying a warm Florida evening. Two of us had the chicken marsala-to-die-for. The other enjoyed the pizza, and seemed glad she had. That evening I tried Valentino's bread pudding. It's remarkable - fresh, moist, creamy, sweet comfort with vanilla sauce to finish it off. Today was my fourth visit to Valentino's. This time I dined alone for lunch on Italian wedding soup, antipasto, garlic rolls, and iced tea. Just perfect. And for dessert a cappucino paired with a pineapple cream cake that was just incredible. The service - every time - was good - these are people who care that you enjoy your meal. There is a feeling of natural hospitality. The value is great. It's not cheap, BUT the food is a steal for the quality you get. The decor leaves something to be desired, but one cannot eat decor so I'm glad they put the resources into the ingredients, which they clearly do. This is a place for family and friends to gather, a place to enjoy life, a place to savor that which is meant to be savored. This is a 5 star restaurant dressed like a 3 star restaurant. I like that. I am declaring myself a regular.
