Description: "This is a tiny authentic Naples-style italian restaurant with no menu but amazing food. You are asked what you'd like: pasta, meat, or fish. Then they tell you what they have available that night. Reservations are highly recommended. This packs up even in non season. (They close in September to return to visit family in Naples, Italy). Everything you eat there is wonderful! Helped along by the wood oven, homemade pastas, and family loving care to each dish".

“Wow! What a lovely surprise!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2014 via mobile

Have Lived nearby for last several years, but never tried it! Cafe La Buca is delightful....a friend and I walked with with our BYOB wine, our waiter, set up the glasses, opened wine, brought us water at our request and told us about appetizers. He suggested Fresh Mozzarella stuffed with tomatoes and spinach $8.99; Brussels Sprouts sautéed with pancetta topped with Parmesan $6.99 and a Grilled zucchini wrapped around light-as-a-feather ricotta $10.00. All were perfectly prepared, well seasoned and perfect size for two. Great starters with the hot bread.

Our server then told us about the five pastas offered: gnocchi gratin, pasta bolognese, pasta with cherry tomatoes and Burrata, pasta with clams, pappardelle with mushrooms. We ordered two 1/2 orders of the pasta with clams $12.00 and mushroom pappardelle $18.00. The clam was delicately seasoned with lots of ocean flavor and the porcini mushroom pasta was generous with sliced mushrooms, onions, garlic and drizzled with a little truffle oil. Both were perfectly cooked and satisfying. Entrees included a couple steaks ( filet and rib eye), and a branzino in salt crust and snapper in aqua pazza. We decided to pass on main courses because we had eaten enough...but we ordered dessert... A generous serving of homemade tiramisu $9.00 .creamy, eggy, three different types of chocolate..dark milk and cocoa powder...with strong espresso and cappuccino 3.00 and 4.00 respectively. Total bill was $82.66...very reasonable for a high quality meal. Unlike some reviewers, we felt completely in control of how much food came to our table. We look forward to coming back to try main courses, pizzas and additional courses!

“Sooooo worth it !!!”

Might b best Italian dinner I have had in florida...app of blanched cabbage stuffed w ricotta n brie, seared topped w cabbage n potato puree bacon n finished in oven. .unbelievable. ...riff on braicle...rib eye butterflies stuffed n finished in oven, not rolled n no sauce served on greens delish....awesome linguini n class a perfect 10..... I think they shud upgrade to a linen napkin n glass ware, while they may want to maintain the casual atmosphere ..I think u can make those 2 changes without compromising the "feel" and authentic atmosphere

“Fun and delicious!”

I love the idea of no menu! I felt like I was at someone's house getting cooked a great meal. Sometimes the best places are small, not fancy and hidden in an unusual location. Can't wait to go back! Highly recommend going and love that you bring your own wine.

“Bring your own wine !”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2014

This is as authentic as it gets!
The restaurant, the food and the attitude, perfect combination for a great evening out for dinner.
I love the fact that it's a bring your own wine place but the food is as good as my wife's mother cooking if not better. My favorite is the wild mushroom pasta and her tiramisu is beyond words...
Absolutely need to reserve, and don't be late or exceed the number of people you reserved for , or you will get an ear full...

“Outstanding ... and should be for the price.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2014

When was the last time that you went to a restaurant without a menu ...not even one posted on a blackboard? Well, this is it.
Located in a storefront in a non-descript strip center, this little gem is worth a visit, as long as you bring your wallet. There are choices at every stage ... appetizer, pasta course, meat or fish, and desert. Difficult to make a decision as the waitress runs through them quite fast. Seems like no one asks the prices for each dish, and the prices are not volunteered ... you have to wait until you get the check at the end of the meal for the surprise.
We had four people in our party, and were able to try a lot if different things ... all were excellent. But, when the check arrived, we talked about some other local very good Italian restaurants that were more reasonable. $35 for 5 lamb chops or $45 for a veal chop is not too out of line, except that's not for the meal ... it is for the meat only. We thought that $9 for a piece of highly recommended chocolate cake was high, although it was very good.
The bottom line with all of us was that we wouldn't mind the prices if we knew in advance ... if we had time to mull over the menu before we ordered each course ... and if the restaurant ambiance and decor was a bit more upscale.
They have no alcohol, but there is no corkage, and all of the tables were graced with brown bags or a 6-pack. It helps to know this ahead of time if you like a glass of wine or a beer with your meal ... and unless you want a can of iced tea loaded with sugar, you even have to bring that with you.
Expect to pay about $50 per person for a good meal. Advance reservations are almost a requirement. 954-786-0673
