My husband & I stayed for three days from April 19th-21st. The staff was awesome, loved the units. We had requested one bedroom unit with view of beach, we were upgraded to two bedroom corner unit on eighth floor with wraparound balcony. The view was fantastic. Overall we had a great time.

We stayed for 3 nights after checking the Hotel out in December. We looked at it when we stayed at the Royal Vista across the street. We never saw a room until we checked in on April 29th. What a great room! Modern, clean, and roomy is just the start. It was a one bedroom deluxe and it was Superb. This room is the same square footage as a 2 bedroom deluxe. You take away the bedroom, and it's a roomy awesome stay. 2 bathrooms, a nice sitting area in the bedroom, balconies in 2 places, full kitchen, cozy living room. Instead of freaking out about paying too much for Wyndham points, we've decided to live a little. I'm getting more points so I don't have to go back to regular rooms. This place is a bit more upgraded than the Royal Vista. (Review of mine posted) It's a simple walk across the street to the beach and tiki bar at the Royal. Every single staff member that we saw, front desk, cleaning crew, maintenence man, they all treated us great and greeted us warmly. That's how it's supposed to be when you drop some major coin. We did the same stuff that I reviewed in January, and I'm already looking to the next trip, which isn't that far off. We hung out with George and the boys again at the Tiki, and I tried to convert Joe-cool into a Cheesehead. I hpoe you like your picture Joe!! The Santa Barbara is worth the points or the cash. We will be bummed out if,and when we can't swing going there.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights b/c we got a deal on a cheap flight and wanted a quick getaway. It met all of our expectations. We received great hospitality from all employees encountered. Gorgeous accommodations with a quiet pool area. We asked for a 1 BR ocean view room, so they put us on the 8th floor room with one balcony facing the ocean (across the street), and one balcony facing the intercoastal waterway. You have access to the Royal Vista pools and tiki bar across the street (oceanfront) which is more of a party area with kids.
We didn't rent a car, so traveled on foot...seemed to be a pretty safe area after hours, but my husband is law enforcement so never lets his guard completely down. Taxi ride from the airport was $48 EACH WAY, so not bad if you're splitting it with another couple, but may have been just as cheap for us to rent a compact car for 3 days.
Stinger's is a restaurant in the stripmall beside Santa Barbara, and we went here for pizza one night, and breakfast another day....both reasonable and good tasting. We walked one night to Joe's Riverfront Cafe, where we had some good seafood if you can get over the trash washed into the marina from the intercoastal waterway. My husband has a weak stomach and couldn't get over it nor the fishy water smell, so we would have been better off asking for inside dining. They did have to die for bananas foster that saved the night for him. The other night we walked to Frank's Ristorante for an amazing italian dinner....good prices and romantic atmosphere. Jazzleberry's icecream shop is on the corner by Frank's, and they had some good treats to eat.
There is a grocery in the same stripmall as Stinger's and a Walgreen's a little further down where you can pick up some snacks and food to save money eating out. These were our options since it was about a mile's trek one way to the regular grocery store.
Heard from other guests that the Serenity yacht leaves every day at 4pm, and is a nice little excursion offered through the conceirge at Wyndham....didn't try it though.
So, all in all, good little mini vacation, and yes, we'd do it again.

My wife daughter and I stayed at the Wyndham Santa Barbara for 5 days, and had a wonderful stay. We had a 1 bedroom studio with a full kitchen, queen bed and sleeper sofa. This was perfect for the 3 of us. The room was very clean, and the staff very helpful to provide fresh towels and washcloths daily when requested. The washer/dryer on each floor is very convenient. The balcony off the room was big enough for all three of us to sit outside and enjoy the view of the ocean across the street and the inland waterway behind the hotel. The only drawbacks I will mention are the rooms aren't very soundproof, so you can hear noise from the hallway and the room above. And when your bedroom is in the same space as your kitchen you hear all the refridgerator sounds (ice maker) during the night. The concierge provided a coupon book with discounts at some excellent restaurants in the area (don't miss Aruba's!). She also tried multiple times to get us to sign up for a presentation to learn about Wyndham timeshares. After passing on her offer several times she finally stopped asking. The beach is a short 1 block walk away, and there is a traffic light with a crosswalk right next to the hotel that makes it easy to cross the street. Having to cross the street to get to the beach was well worth the much lower cost to stay at the Wyndham Santa Barbara rather than at the resorts located across the street that use the exact same beach. The pool at the hotel is decent size, very warm, and a nice place to relax. Free parking and wireless internet access in the room was a nice plus. We would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay at the Wyndham Santa Barbara. The staff was helpful, they recomended this great local pizza place (Stingers) just down the street. We were only there a short time but ate at it twice. The room could not have been cleanier and the layout wiht lare jacuzzi and mutliple decks was awesome. Ths is truly one of the best timeshares rooms we have ever stayed at and we will go back to this property.

After a long decision making process we chose to try out Santa Barbara rather then staying down the road at Sea Gardens like we have in the past- WOW !! you would not know they were owned and operated by the same group. The staff at Santa Barbara was amazing as well as the resort itself. The pool and hot tub area was always clean as a whistle. the rooms themselves are smaller then sea gardens but very nice, loved the added touch of the Jacuzzi tub in the master. I do prefer to have the washer and dryer in the room like sea gardens has but with every floor having its own laundry room it didn't bother us. Having high speed Internet in every room was a great trade off. if i was to find one thing i didn't like it would be the lighting, they have energy saver bulbs in every light which I don't mind but it makes the bathroom pretty dimm, 2 bucks for a couple bulbs at walgreens is worth it if your like my wife and wants good lighting for getting ready. OVERALL i would say one of the nicer Wyndham resorts we have stayed in. If you cant find happiness at Santa Barbara then you may want to adjust your expectations as IMO it is GREAT. Cant wait to go back.

sorry, the pictures i posted have my dorky son in them
