“Great food, great value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2014

We were staying at Pompano Beach area for one week and we ate there twice it was so good. The food is excellent along with the personal service. The last night we went with a total of 4 people. We split 3 dinners, one desert and a bottle off DOCG Chianti...all for $100.

“Must have been a bad night!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2014

After reading reviews of Mediterraneo we decided to try it. The friendliest family of owners/cooks/servers ever. They were charming. But we came for the food, not the charm. A "welcome" plate of thin sliced Italian salami and olives and a bread basket were brought. Very nice, very good. Then our entrees: my penne and shrimp in a creamy red sauce missed the mark. There were dozens of tiny shrimp, less than an inch in diameter, mixed in with the penne, which was way over-sauced and not so creamy. My friend had their famous sardines and pasta. I was hoping she would move to another table, that's what a fishy odor her dish had. And it too was over-sauced. No one offered freshly ground pepper, the grated cheese was placed on the table in a glass shaker. For me, not worth a second try.

“Molto Bene-warm welcome, great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2014

The family who runs this restaurant extends the warmest greeting I have ever received. What a wonderful start to your meal! Everything is prepared fresh daily and it shows. We had the homemade gemelli w/oil and garlic and red pepper, and the gemelli pomodoro which my finicky eating partner deemed the best she has ever had! Delicious Italian red wine from Italy Nero D'Avola, topped off with their fresh made cannoli. Everything was excellent and the portions they serve force you to take a doggy bag home. One chef in the kitchen only, the father. They aim to please, great night.....go, mangia

“The best decision we've made for dining in a while!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2014

By far the best dining experience we've had.....from making the reservation continuing through the heartfelt "Thank you for coming, and Good night!" The most sincere and genuine hospitality, coupled with the outrageously delicious and fresh food, and friendly and perfectly attentive, if not entertaining service... this is one place we plan to return, and often! Cozy and intimate and so agreeable. The family and staff who run this business have much to teach other eateries. You can taste the authenticity and freshness in all of the food, appetizers , entrees, and desserts. A great charming touch is when the owners/family come to each table to chat and get to know you! When we departed, we not only had full bellies, we had full hearts, as well. If you don't make it to "Meditteraneo," you should regret it.

“Delicious taste of Sicily”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2014

Great food. Great service. Will definitely be back. We started with the Rustica appetizer. Very nice start of meat, cheese and bruschetta. My boys had pasta Mediterraneo as well as the pasta with smoke salmon. They loved it. I had pasta con sarde which was very nice. We finished with Tiramisu and Grandma's Lemon Cake
