Used RCI to trade into this resort. Just average although we normally stay at gold crown and this was silver. Stayed in Sabal Palm building on 3rd floor room 384, two bedroom. Very spacious and good layout. Kitchen cabinets, appliances, ammenities, counters, dining table, flat screens in all rooms were all very nice. Carpet seemed old and tired. Cable TV was fuzzy picture. Bathrooms were spacious, but very average even on hotel standards. Master bed had ruts in the mattress and was very uncomfortable. I even tried the sofa sleeper as an alternative, which was OK - for a sofa sleeper. I think our room was near the water pumps as every morning it sounded like a jack hammer was running on the other side of the wall. No sleeping past 7:30am. We have two small kids, so not an issue for us.
Kids wanted to use the jetted tub. Took over 30 minutes to fill above the jets. Had trouble managing the cold/hot water. Hot was intermittently coming out the cold and could have hurt the kids. Was really strange and happened on two different nights.
This was the first resort where our room wasn't cleaned midweek. We had to be persistant to get towels replaced. Once we got somebody's attention, they were helpful.
Timeshare pitch was mild at check-in and then non-existant, which was nice.
Elevators were slow. One didn't work at end of week. Folks were getting frustrated.
Outside, pools were nicely accomodated but didn't get much sun except at mid-day. Water was cool, combined with limited sun and breezy made it uncomfortable to swim.
Miniature golf was good. Turf was in great shape. Unique layout. Minimal play space/equipment for toddlers.
Overall, it was really just average.
Room Tip: Not sure what flexibility is available, but if I did it again I would get a room key - go look at it...
