THE GOOD: As you walk through the doors the high class feel of this hotel will immediately hit you. Place is CLASSY! The front staff was terrific. There was a young gal that would always wave and smile and say "Hi Mr. J". Remembering customer names is true red carpet treatment. I wish I could remember her name because she needs to be recognized for making people feel great. The place is spotlessly clean. Has the feel of a ritzy big city hotel. The suite was very roomy. We liked being able to close the doors and our kids slept on the pull out bed. Gave us a little quiet privacy after a day at the beach. Room was very very clean, sheets were crisp and smelled fresh. Bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Housekeeping does a great job. folded towels, fresh soap etc. The lobby bar was great, and sitting outside next to the fountain (in the atrium) with a cold drink in hand was great. We ate at Cilantro's twice. The food was fantastic. The Mahi-Mahi was really good. The Penne pasta was TO DIE FOR... Kids loved the pizza.. Overall Fantastic food. Service staff was fantastic.
I would recommend this hotel and restaurant.
A FEW THINGS TO FIX: Most of this hotels problems lie in it's exterior. Overall the whole place needs a paint job. And as you drive up you notice an abondoned rundown building attached the left and an abondoned rundown building attached to the right. I cant understand why they just dont tear them down.. what an eyesore. The indoor parking is run down and needs better lighting and some sprucing up. Feels a little unsafe in there at night alone. Finally, the view would be great if only the windows were cleaner. They were really cloudy.
Conclusion: The good outweighs the bad to such an extent that I wasnt willing to reduce to 4 stars. We are definitely planning to come back!
