I had a wonderful time. As hectic as my job can be it was a surprise how calming and relaxing this vacation turned out to be. We stayed at a private home on a secluded island for the price of a hotel room on a so-so beach.
The items I liked the best are.
1). Guest services, Monica nd the staff were helpful, friendly.
2). The home was clean.
3). Use of golf cart, bicycles, kayacks, community pool and tennis.
4). Hardly anyone around. Saw 3-5 people on beach over 3-4 hr. time frame.
5). Weather was in 80's most of the time.
6). Home was 2 bedroom, 2 bath, private pool, hotub, third floor observation deck.
7). Exploring the beaches and rest of island. It is easy for me to romantize living there.
Items I liked least.
1). Leaving !!!
2). TV was limited channels.
Keep in mind, this is a remote island. No paved roads, very little commercial. We brought all of our food with us. The water taxi could be expensive if you use it more than on arrival and departure. Two people were $74.00 round trip. Marina parking was $10.00 a day. But, with no going out to eat, I feel the prices were a bargin. I am still on my post trip high and plan on going back within the next 2 years.
