My wife and I stayed at the Pensacola Courtyard by Marriott (near University Mall) for a night this past weekend -- we were attending a play downtown, and decided to stay here since we've had such great experiences with Courtyards in the past.

We weren't disappointed. The staff was courteous, and the rooms were in great shape.

The breakfast was yummy, and the pool was nice and relaxing.

We'd definitely stay here again.

Everything was excellent except something in the pool resembled feces!!! Not sure what that was. The front desk clerk may have known of this, b/c when we got in the pool, he came over to look & started staring in as if we were a side show. He should have come in to remove this matter, since he looked as though he knew about it!!! Other than that,great stay.

This is a nice Courtyard. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Mainly a business hotel. Rooms are kept very clean! They have the new Marriott linens, rooms are in nice shape. Furniture is the darker marriott line a little used but compared to other hotels in town which are in desparate need of refurbishment this one stands out as one of the best ones in town. Will definitely be staying there again.

Only real downside is the construction on Davis Hwy that is near the hotel. Gets congested in the morning and at 5pm.

Everything about this place was nice. There was a nice quite courtyard with a cute gazebo. The pool and hot tub is inside with outside access. The room was very spacious with a chair and ottoman and desk. The bed was softer than my bed at home. TV was a little small but was ok. Some rooms had balconies. The A/C seemed like it wasn't going to be great, but within no time we had the blankets pulled up and was snuggling. The bathroom was roomy with the shower and toilet in a separate room. We didn't try the breakfast although it smelled very inviting. The staff was very nice. We asked for directions to a movie theater and within seconds she produced printed directions on a small card. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
