$53 total for a place to park, sleep, and shower seemed reasonable and confirmed by Days Inn web reservation. An addidtional $3 Hurricane Surcharge was added upon arrival and payment. The room looked like Katrina had just been there: the door had been jimmied and could be moved in and out 1/2 inch when closed and locked, the security hasp's anchor on the door was intact but in pieces, the smoke detector consisted of wire hanging out of the wall. The toilet had been replaced with one obviously larger. Had it been firmly attached to the floor the door wouldn't have opened. The paint job on the refnished tub was coming off in spots. For a non-smoking room the top of the minifridge had a cigarette burn mark on the top and the linens smelled of smoke. The grill on the heat/cool unit was completely broken in. The pool was closed--apparently for some time.

Booked my stay via Expedia & based upon rating & hotel chain rep, I thought all would be OK.
Absolutely the worst travel experience I've ever had!!
Had to change rooms 3 times due to faulty smoke alarm; faulty heating; 3rd room had broken remote.
This Days Inn is in a run down state- needs everything done starting with a total cleaning.
Breakfast stated to include a USA Today; fruit,etc. No newspapers over 4 days; same stale bagels, etc.
AVOID this hotel.

After staying a week in a Texas Days Inn, at a decent rate, plus a $10 per day pet fee for our well-behaved dog (a retired Florida police dog) we stopped at the Days Inn Pensacola for a night. Since we travel everywhere with our dog, and have never been turned down, we rented a room and did not see any "No Pets" sign. While walking our dog outside we were met by another pet owner who had been staying at the Days Inn for several weeks with his German Shepherd and carried on a conversation. Upon checking out we were surprised to see an additional $ 50 charge on our bill. After receiving no cooperation from the desk staff we contacted the manager, who after some conversation, agreed to credit our VISA the $ 50.00 fee, which was referred to as a one-day pet fee. Upon receiving our VISA statement the following month, no credit was given. Several phone calls to the manager have since gone unanswered. We will never stay in a Days Inn again because of this incident.

This place need to be comdemed, you can smell the mold in every room, The hotel excuse was we are renovating but speaking to several contractors that work in pensacola and live on property several days of the week that has been an on going excuse for the last year... The owners LHS dont care that the people are smelling mold and beinbg disturbed by the hookers that knocked on my door at 12:30 in the morning asking if i want company...The greatest thing about the hotel is located across the street from a quality inn where i ended staying the other 2 nights.Oh the customer service number (a joke) goes to what they call corportate office but its to some poor sap that get paid 6.00 to call and say sorry. I was offered a free night for one of the other hotels that LHS owned but after reading the reviews they are all dumps..
