GREAT MOTEL. If you're staying in Pensacola and don't mind driving over the bridge to get to the big beaches, STAY HERE!!!! We checked in late last night and when I gave the clerk my name he said "Oh yeah, we were wondering about you guys... Non-Smoking, King Bed room through Thursday right?". That floored me right there. Check in took maybe 2 minutes, he wrote the Wifi Password on our key cover gave us a map, reminded us of breakfast in the morning in the restaurant (I didn't even know they included a full breakfast with your stay!), asked if we wanted a wake up call arranged and wished us a good time in Pensacola. SUPER nice!
Then, we get to our room and it is VERY clean, the AC was already on and the room was at a very comfortable temperature (it was 90 and muggy outside so walking into a nice cool room was great!). The room is larger than I expected, the bathroom is VERY clean (Tile is super clean, plenty of towels and TP - just fabulous!), lots of room for hanging up our cloths, HUGE flat screen TV, Lots of storage in the furniture, and plenty of light in the room. The room advertised having a fridge and microwave and was expecting that little 2 x 2 box fridge... Oh no, this sucker is like 3 1/2 feet tall, holds a full 12 pack of Soda, all of the snacks we brought with us and still has room for a ton more. And both the Microwave and the fridge were clean as if they are brand new. GREAT desk for Lap Top, the bed was unbelievably comfortable (with CLEAN sheet and bed covering!) and we had tons of pillows. Oh, and as I was coming back from a trip to the car, I noticed coin op laundry in the hall way by the stairs. Fantastic.
THEN, this morning (15 minutes ago) the phone in the room rang and it was the front desk... The guy on the phone says "I see that y'all checked in late last night and I just wanted to call to make sure that your room was to your liking and to see if y'all needed anything?" REALLY, REALLY????? I've stayed in 5 star hotels that didn't do that! LOVE this place... I called and read reviews on just about all of the hotels in the Pensacola area before deciding to book at Days Inn. ESPECIALLY for the price (only $60.00 per night on an internet special), Days Inn Pensacola Historic District is one heck of a Winner!!! I would recommend it to everyone!
