I stayed here with a group of friends in September for the DeLuna Fest. All of the hotels in the area increased their prices for the weekend so the Days Inn was actually reasonably-priced. It's very close to the highway and Palafox Street has restaurants and cafes further south (although it's at least a 10 minute walk). It's also very close to a railroad and we could hear the train passing by several times a day.
The room itself was not too bad. The double beds are a little small and the microwave did not work, but everything else seemed ok for the price. The bathroom could use a renovation, though.
The staff was very nice. The maids gave us extra towels and the staff at breakfast was very pleasant (the food was very standard).
Overall, it's not a bad choice for the price. It's not close to the beach or any real places of interest, and there is a considerable amount of outside noise, but it's not the worst place in Pensacola.
